Is cupping effective during menstruation?

As the work pressure on women in modern society is increasing, they not only have to take care of themselves, but also have to show their talents in the workplace. Therefore, they neglect their own health care. Therefore, dysmenorrhea often occurs during the menstrual period, so friends hope to find some ways to improve this situation. So is cupping during menstruation effective? Regarding this question, please share with me in the next period of time.

1. Kidney deficiency

1. Symptoms

The menstrual cycle is irregular, the amount of menstruation is small, the color is light red or dark red, and the menstrual volume is clear and thin. Weak waist and knees, heel pain, dizziness, tinnitus, or coldness in the lower abdomen, or frequent urination at night.

(II) Governing Law

1. Method 1

(1) Select acupoints: Shenshu, Qihai, Guanyuan, Sanyinjiao, and Zhaohai.

(2) Locate Shenshu: On the lower back, 1.5 inches below the spinous process of the second lumbar vertebra [the second lumbar vertebra is the point corresponding to the center of the navel, and the acupuncture point is about 2 horizontal fingers (index and middle fingers) away from the lower edge of the spinous process, see Figure 4-5-2].

Qihai: In the lower abdomen, on the anterior midline, 1.5 inches below the navel. (See Figure 2-7-5)

Guanyuan: In the lower abdomen, on the anterior midline, 3 inches below the navel. (See Figure 2-7-5)

Sanyinjiao: On the inner side of the calf, 3 inches above the tip of the inner ankle, behind the inner edge of the tibia (put four fingers together, with the lower edge of the little finger close to the tip of the inner ankle, and the horizontal line of the upper edge of the index finger at the intersection of the posterior edge of the tibia, which is the intersection point, see Figure 5-1-1).

Zhaohai: On the inner side of the foot, in the depression below the tip of the medial malleolus (see Figure 5-l-1).

(3) Cupping and moxibustion cupping. First, use moxa sticks to light and warm each acupoint for 15 minutes, until the skin feels warm and the body feels comfortable. Then suck out the cupping jar and leave the cup in for 10 minutes. Do this once a day, and 10 times constitute a course of treatment.

2. Method 2

(1) Select acupoints such as Shenshu, Mingmen, Qixue, Guanyuan, and Taixi.

(2) Locate Shenshu point: see above.

Mingmen: On the waist, on the posterior midline, in the depression below the spinous process of the second lumbar vertebra (in prone position, on the waist, on the posterior midline opposite to the navel is the acupoint location, see Figure 4-3-1)

Qi point: in the lower abdomen, 3 inches below the umbilicus and 0.5 inches lateral to the anterior midline (see Figure 5-1-2).

Guan Yuan: See above.

Taixi: Behind the medial malleolus on the inner side of the foot, in the depression between the tip of the medial malleolus and the Achilles tendon [push backwards from the tip of the medial malleolus to the depression (approximately the midpoint between the tip of the medial malleolus and the Achilles tendon) is the acupuncture point, see Figure 2-26-3).

(1) Select the acupoints Diaphragm Shu, Liver Shu, Qi Men, Zhong Ji, and Xue Hai.

(2) Locate the diaphragmatic point: On the back, 1.5 inches below the spinous process of the 7th thoracic vertebra [the point is located about 2 horizontal fingers (index and middle fingers) away from the lower edge of the spinous process of the vertebra (7th thoracic vertebra) at the same level as the lower angle of the shoulder blades, see Figure 2-19-6].
