Everyone knows that cervical erosion is a gynecological disease. Because the color of the woman's cervix is red, it looks like eczema. Cervical erosion is divided into three levels. If this happens, you must treat it in time, otherwise it will affect the body. So, is cervical erosion serious? What causes cervical erosion? Is cervical erosion serious? Cervical erosion is a cervical disease that is common in pregnant women and is the most common clinical symptom of introverted cervicitis. According to the size of the erosion surface, it is divided into mild cervical erosion, mild to moderate cervical erosion, and moderate to severe cervical erosion. According to the thickness and shape of the erosion surface, it can be divided into simple type, granular type and papillary type. Mild cervical erosion is not very serious, but patients with long-term severe cervical erosion have a higher incidence of cervical early changes and cervical cancer; the human eye cannot distinguish whether it is erosion, early changes or in the early stage. Therefore, it is not enough for patients to have only basic gynecological examinations. They should have TCT examinations at the same time as their gynecological examinations once a year. Mild cervical erosion is generally not likely to affect pregnancy because the inflammation is relatively mild. However, in moderate to moderately severe cervical erosion, especially moderate to severe cases, the inflammatory changes are more serious, and the secretions are often pus-like and very thick. Inflammatory secretions can inhibit or kill sperm, and thick cervical mucus can prevent sperm from passing through the cervical canal, thus affecting pregnancy. When the inflammation spreads along the uterosacral tendon to the pelvis and invades the bilateral fallopian tubes, it can also cause inflammatory adhesion blockage of the fallopian tubes, affecting the combination of sperm and egg and causing infertility. Therefore, patients with more severe cervical erosion, even those who have not yet become pregnant, need timely treatment. This is not only related to the long-term severe inflammation and irritation that may cause cervix, but also related to whether the patient can successfully become pregnant. Those with cervical erosion-like changes can be diagnosed through cervical cytology and human papillomavirus (HPV) testing. Patients with hematoma or edema need to undergo appropriate examinations for infection. Colposcopy and biopsy are necessary to check for the possibility of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia or cervical cancer. Cervical erosion is not a pathological erosion caused by epithelial cell ulceration and lack of pathological erosion. "Cervical erosion" is not an appropriate diagnostic term for introverted cervical inflammation. Physiological columnar epithelial cell disorder is common in puberty, women of childbearing age with abundant estrogen metabolism, those taking contraceptives or during pregnancy. Due to the effect of estrogen, the cervical junction is displaced and the cervix becomes eroded. In addition, cervical intraepithelial neoplasia and early cervical cancer can also cause erosive changes in the cervix. |
