What are the side effects of taking painkillers for dysmenorrhea?

Dysmenorrhea is a problem that many women will encounter. If you have dysmenorrhea during menstruation, the pain in your lower abdomen is very severe, which makes people feel very unbearable. Therefore, some women feel very painful and will buy some painkillers. However, if you take these painkillers frequently during menstruation, will it cause any harm to the human body?

Painkillers. If you experience clearly diagnosed headaches, toothaches, muscle and soft tissue joint pains, and dysmenorrhea in women, you can use ibuprofen, paracetamol, etc. to relieve the symptoms, but this is only a temporary solution. It is not recommended to take medicine as soon as you feel pain, and it is even more not recommended to take medicine repeatedly. If there are organic diseases in the body, such as cholecystitis, gastric ulcer, appendicitis, etc., acute abdominal pain may also occur. Rushing to take medicine may mask the symptoms and affect the doctor's judgment.

It should be noted that people with chronic diseases should not take medication too hastily. For example, the elderly should not take antihypertensive drugs too strongly or too quickly to avoid a sudden drop in blood pressure; glaucoma patients with abdominal pain should not rush to take belladonna tablets or other anticholeline drugs to avoid increased intraocular pressure.

Tongjing San is mainly used to treat moderate dysmenorrhea caused by cold stagnation in the uterus. Take 10 grams each of cloves, cinnamon, Corydalis yanhusuo and costusroot, mix the medicines into fine powder and set aside. When menstruation is about to come or pain occurs, use 2 grams of dysmenorrhea powder and place it on adhesive tape and apply it to Guanyuan acupoint. If the pain persists, apply it to the outer Sanyinjiao acupoint. Change the dressing every other day, and one course of treatment is 6 days per month.

Massage of the lower abdomen is mainly used to treat dysmenorrhea, which is characterized by lower abdominal pain before or during menstruation. Place your hands together in the middle of your lower abdomen, press your abdomen tightly, and slowly massage your abdomen at a frequency of about 10 times per minute, until you feel a sense of heat in your lower abdomen.

If you have dysmenorrhea, it is best to go to the hospital for timely examination and treatment, because dysmenorrhea has a relatively large impact on women. It not only causes abdominal pain during menstruation, but can even cause gynecological problems in women.
