Can an ectopic pregnancy be detected by ultrasound?

Pregnancy is a natural thing for many people. But for another group, it is harder than climbing to the sky. From the overwhelming advertisements of infertility hospitals, we can see that many people still have difficulties in getting pregnant. Among them, ectopic pregnancy is a disease we often hear about. So, can ectopic pregnancy be detected through ultrasound?

Any pregnancy in which the fertilized egg implants anywhere outside the uterine cavity is collectively called an ectopic pregnancy, commonly known as an ectopic pregnancy. Depending on the implantation site, there are fallopian tube pregnancy, ovarian pregnancy, abdominal pregnancy, cervical pregnancy and rudimentary horn pregnancy. Among ectopic pregnancies, tubal pregnancy is the most common. It accounts for more than 90%. An ectopic pregnancy occurs when the fetus does not implant in the uterus but develops in a narrow fallopian tube, which then ruptures and causes heavy bleeding.

B-ultrasound can confirm ectopic pregnancy. To determine whether it is an ectopic pregnancy before it ruptures, you can do an HCG test. If it is positive and an abdominal B-ultrasound examination does not reveal a gestational sac in the uterine cavity, then you should generally consider the possibility of an ectopic pregnancy. But first, pay attention to whether the gestational sac is too small to be discovered. If no gestational sac and other abnormalities are found, you should check again after 7 days. Ectopic pregnancy usually ruptures more than 40 days of pregnancy. If there is a dull pain in the lower abdomen on the right side, it may be a sign of ectopic pregnancy. If an ectopic pregnancy can be diagnosed in its early stages, before the fallopian tube ruptures, and the patient has no desire to have children, drug therapy is the best option, as it causes less harm to the patient and the body can recover more easily. Of course, surgical treatment is also possible.

"There are three unfilial acts, and the worst is to have no descendants" is a traditional Chinese concept. If you find any abnormalities during the pregnancy preparation process, you must pay attention to it. Can ectopic pregnancy be detected through ultrasound? The answer is yes. There are many causes of ectopic pregnancy, and each person's condition is different. It is recommended to go to a regular hospital to find out the cause and receive scientific and targeted treatment.
