Treatment of moderate cervical erosion

Treatment of moderate cervical erosion

Although the living standards have improved now, the number of people suffering from diseases is increasing, especially women. The number of people suffering from gynecological diseases is many times more than before. Some gynecological diseases, if suffered from, will have a great impact on one's future reproduction and physical health. For example, many people will have cervical erosion. If it is mild, no treatment is required, but moderate ones must be treated. Let us all learn about the good methods for treating moderate cervical erosion.

After cervical erosion occurs, there will often be increased and sticky vaginal discharge, milky white or light yellow purulent secretions, sometimes bloody or mixed with blood; the vulva may be irritated by increased vaginal discharge and may develop vulvitis or vaginitis, causing itching and pain; when the inflammation is severe, it can spread along the uterosacral ligament and cardinal ligament to cause pelvic connective tissue inflammation, causing pain in the lower abdomen or lumbosacral region, accompanied by a feeling of falling; when the inflammation spreads to the bladder triangle or around the bladder, frequent urination or difficulty urinating may occur, and sexual intercourse may also cause contact bleeding or odor.

If the erosion is moderate to severe, it must be diagnosed in a regular hospital. Except for cervical cancer, some physical treatments can be performed. The more commonly used ones now are microwave, laser, freezing, and radiofrequency ablation, which are more effective. Generally, one treatment may be enough, or two treatments at most.

Drug treatment can be divided into traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine. Drug treatment has fewer side effects and is more suitable for women who have not given birth.

Physical therapy is suitable for patients with moderate and severe cervical erosion. Commonly used methods include electric ironing, laser therapy, and cryotherapy. The disadvantage is that the side effects are large, and it may cause the nerve sensitivity of the vaginal wall to decrease, which will also have a certain impact on the quality of sexual life. After treatment, it is more likely to relapse.

Surgical treatment: If the above treatment is ineffective, or if there is cervical hypertrophy, or the erosion is deep and extensive, and involves the cervical canal, cervical conization or total hysterectomy may be considered. However, surgical treatment is rarely used nowadays. Surgical treatment may cause infertility, so it needs to be chosen carefully.

When suffering from moderate cervical erosion, patients should not be too afraid. Just follow the doctor's instructions, go for treatment every day, and take the medicine prescribed by the doctor on time, and it will be fine after a while. After recovery, you must also pay attention to the hygiene of your private parts, avoid excessive sexual activity, and pay attention to hygiene.
