What is the normal blood pressure for a 40-year-old woman?

According to the standards of the Chinese Adult Hypertension Prevention Manual, the normal range of blood pressure for a 40-year-old woman is systolic pressure <120MmHg and systolic pressure <80MmHg. For systolic blood pressure between 120-140MmHg and 80-90MmHg, it is called the low normal blood pressure. For such patients, we should actively improve their lifestyle, eat low-salt and low-fat food, eat more fresh vegetables and fruits, control weight, quit smoking and drinking, exercise moderately, live a regular life, arrange time reasonably, maintain a happy mood, and avoid excessive fatigue, fever, cold and emotional excitement. Improvements in lifestyle habits can be used to prevent further increases in blood pressure for patients with hypertension.

The normal blood pressure of girls is generally around 120/80MmHg. For young women, who usually eat less and have a weaker physique, their blood pressure will be relatively low, generally around 110/70MmHg.

If the blood pressure is less than 80/60MmHg, it can be diagnosed as hypotension. There is a risk of hypotensive shock at any time. Therefore, if you experience dizziness, panic, sweating, yawning and other discomforts, go to bed and rest immediately, with your head down and your feet up.

Usually, you should properly improve your diet, avoid dieting and picky eating, so as to avoid recurring hypotension. If the blood pressure is higher than 140/90MmHg, it can be diagnosed as hypertension and requires immediate oral administration of candesartan sustained-release capsules, valsartan capsules, amlodipine besylate tablets and other drugs to lower blood pressure.
