How to measure chest circumference

How to measure chest circumference

When it comes to choosing bras, no matter which style, the size of the bra is definitely the first thing we have to consider. Otherwise, a series of problems will arise due to the inappropriate size of the bra. The most typical ones are empty cups, displacement of the bra, chest tightness and shortness of breath, rigid ring marks and falling straps. So how do you avoid this type of underwear problem?

Chest measurement refers to measuring the size of the chest, paying attention to the precise measurement method to ensure the accuracy of the results.

1. Take off your clothes first, stand up relaxedly (but straight), with your feet together, face forward, and slightly stick out your chin.

2. Wrap the tape measure horizontally around the chest size (more prominent), starting from loose and gradually tightening it. When measuring, use your hands to gently support your breasts, as if you were wearing underwear. At this time, you can easily measure your actual chest size and underbust; the bust line (the line shown at the bottom of the breast) can also be easily measured.

3. Chest size (generally referred to as "upper bust"): Take the BP point (i.e. bust point) as the measuring point, and use a soft tape measure to accurately measure around the fullest part of the chest, which is the chest size.

4. Under bust size: Use a soft tape measure to accurately measure around the bottom of the chest, which is the under bust size.

Three common problems

The calculated cup number is not necessarily the size you should buy in the end. There are three possibilities:

1. Excessive body fat: The cup size should be increased in proportion. (For example, when the error is C level, D is generally selected).

2. The calculation error is relatively vague: you should try to choose a larger cup size to allow room for breast development. (For example, if the error is 15 and is close to that of C and D, choose D).

3. The shape of the breast is flat like a plate of loose sand: the smaller the measurement error, the larger the selected cup size. (For example, when the lost body fat is squeezed and shaped according to scientific dressing techniques, if the measured size is a B cup, then the selected cup is a C cup).
