Why do I always have leucorrhea?

Female friends will not have leucorrhea only after menopause, and leucorrhea can very accurately reflect whether a woman's body is healthy. If there is a gynecological disease, the leucorrhea will undergo abnormal changes. Normal leucorrhea should not have any color or special smell, so let's learn together why there is always leucorrhea.

Under normal circumstances, there is often a small amount of secretions in the female vagina, which is mainly a mixture of vaginal mucosal exudate, cervical canal, endometrium and fallopian tube secretions, called leucorrhea. Normal leucorrhea is egg white-like or white paste-like, with no fishy smell. During ovulation, the amount of leucorrhea is more and thinner, while in the later stages of menstruation, the amount of leucorrhea is less and thicker.

Normal leucorrhea should be colorless, sometimes transparent, sometimes sticky, and have no odor. During adolescence, leucorrhea is affected by estrogen and undergoes cyclical changes, sometimes increasing and sometimes decreasing. During ovulation, the leucorrhea is clear and abundant, while at other times it is less and thicker. Changes in the characteristics of leucorrhea are often closely related to vaginal infection or reproductive system diseases. Purulent leucorrhea has a foul odor and is accompanied by itching and discomfort in the vulva, which is often a manifestation of vaginitis. When a woman's leucorrhea secretion changes in quantity, color, properties, odor, etc., and at the same time has symptoms such as low back pain, abdominal pain, and vulvar itching, it indicates that leucorrhea is abnormal. It is likely that there is inflammation of the reproductive organs or urinary system.

Leucorrhea is a mixture of vaginal mucosal exudates, cervical canal and endometrial gland secretions, and its formation is related to the action of estrogen. Normal leucorrhea is white, paste-like or egg white-like, highly viscous, has no fishy smell, and is small in amount. It has no adverse effects on women's health and is called physiological leucorrhea. However, if inflammation occurs in the reproductive tract, especially vaginitis and cervicitis, or if cancer occurs, the amount of vaginal discharge will increase significantly and its properties will also change, which is called pathological changes.

Generally, the amount of leucorrhea is less after the menstrual period; before ovulation, due to the increase in estrogen levels in the body, the epithelial cells of the cervical glands are stimulated to proliferate, the secretion of cervical mucus increases, and the sodium chloride content in the mucus increases, which can absorb more water, causing the leucorrhea to increase during ovulation, and the texture is thin, clear in color, and looks like egg white, which can be stretched into long threads; after ovulation, estrogen levels gradually decrease, progesterone levels increase, the secretion of cervical mucus is inhibited, and the sodium chloride content in the mucus also decreases, making the leucorrhea at this time thick, milky white, with poor ductility, and easy to break when drawn.

The amount of leucorrhea secretion is closely related to sexual thoughts and sexual life. During the honeymoon and frequent sexual life, the secretion of leucorrhea will naturally increase.

In the article, we have learned why there is always leucorrhea, and the amount of leucorrhea depends on the woman herself, and has a lot to do with her mood or sexual thoughts. Generally, when sexual life is frequent, the secretion of leucorrhea will become particularly large, and at this time, you need to pay attention to hygiene.
