Why does a hard lump grow on the inside of the vulva?

There are mainly the following reasons for pimples on the vulva. The vulva is a relatively private area and is also an area where gynecological inflammation is common. Women should pay attention to keeping the vulva clean and dry, otherwise it will cause various gynecological inflammations. Also pay attention to food, avoid spicy food and eat a low-fat diet. Patients don’t need to be nervous. Here are some symptoms summarized by the editor for your reference.

There are mainly 7 situations when there are pimples on the vulva:

1. Granuloma: Granuloma is the most common symptom of "inflammation", which manifests as small granuloma-like bumps. Granuloma is a well-defined nodular lesion formed by the localized infiltration and proliferation of macrophages and their evolved cells.

2. Papillomavirus infection in both sexes: HPV (human papillomavirus) can be benign, which only manifests as tissue hyperplasia. After infection, bumps and pimples will appear, and the virus is more stubborn.

3. Genital warts: The granular protrusions caused by malignant HPV infection are mostly red, occasionally white or dirty gray.

4. Vulvitis and vaginitis: Vaginitis infection can also cause small bumps and pimples, which are usually caused by Candida infection.

5. Vestibular gland cyst: Small bumps on the vulva may be Vestibular gland cysts. The exit of the Bartholin's gland is located on the inner side of the labia minora, and bacteria can easily invade and cause inflammation.

6. Sebaceous gland ectopia: occurs in young people, and those under 30 years old account for 75% of the total number of cases. It often occurs on the labial mucosa and cheek mucosa, but also on the areola, glans penis, labia minora, clitoris, and inner side of the labia majora. The bumps become more noticeable when the skin or mucous membranes are stretched taut.

7. Bowenoid papulosis: occurs in young and middle-aged women who are sexually active. Most of them are located on the perineum and labia, and a few are located on the genital mucosa. The surface is papillary or smooth.

The above are some symptoms summarized by the editor. Patients can identify their own conditions and then take the appropriate medicine. When you find yourself having any of the above symptoms, you must seek medical attention in time and never force yourself to do it. This way you can recover soon. Female patients should also always pay attention to the health of their genitals.
