How to treat bacterial vaginosis

Bacterial vaginitis refers to the growth of bacteria in the vagina, coupled with a decrease in immunity, vaginal atrophy, and a decrease in the bacterial protective layer in the vagina. Cleaning is also very unclean, and the main factors causing it are that most women will suffer from vaginitis. As the hormone level of the human body gradually decreases, how can we treat bacterial vaginitis to achieve good results?

Under the action of endocrine hormones, normal vaginal epithelial cells in women of childbearing age proliferate. The surface cells are rich in glycogen, which is very conducive to the growth of facultative aerobic lactobacilli, which account for more than 90% of the vagina. The presence of a large amount of this lactic acid bacteria inhibits the growth of other pathogenic bacteria. A normal ecological balance is formed in the vagina.

When the body's estrogen level drops, the vaginal epithelium atrophies and the cell glycogen decreases, which is not conducive to the growth of lactobacilli. Large amounts of antibiotics or excessive vaginal flushing with alkaline fluids inhibit the growth of lactobacilli.

Frequent and promiscuous sexual intercourse (because the pH of semen is 7.2-7.8) leads to the massive reproduction of pathogenic anaerobic bacteria and Gardnerella, causing an imbalance in the ecological balance of vaginal microorganisms. The reduction of facultative aerobic lactobacilli eventually leads to bacterial vaginosis.

Treatment is generally divided into oral medication, local treatment, etc., and usually requires 2-3 courses of treatment. If the wife suffers from this disease, the husband must also receive treatment at the same time; sexual intercourse is strictly prohibited during the illness and before recovery.

Many women who feel vaginal itching should go to the hospital for examination in time to learn how to treat bacterial vaginitis. We should also pay attention to the period. If you have had sexual intercourse, your husband must also be checked to avoid sexual intercourse infection.
