Tubal pregnancy most often occurs in

Many female friends will experience sudden abdominal pain after the end of their menstrual period. The pain is unbearable and they go to the hospital for emergency treatment. They are diagnosed with fallopian tube pregnancy and need surgery. This situation is a great harm to female friends. Tubal pregnancy has different pregnancy locations, and the doctor will perform surgery based on the location and condition of the pregnancy.

Most common location of tubal pregnancy

Tubal pregnancy is caused by the fertilization of the egg in the ampulla of the fallopian tube. The combination of sperm and egg is blocked in both fallopian tubes for some reasons, and the embryo implants and grows in a certain position in both fallopian tubes. Generally, the most common pregnancy in fallopian tube occurs in the ampulla, accounting for 50-70%, followed by the muscular wall, accounting for 30-40%, and the fimbria and interstitial part are the least common, accounting for 1-2%.

The most common cause of tubal pregnancy

(1) Chronic salpingitis. Chronic salpingitis is a common cause of tubal pregnancy. Bilateral endosalpingitis causes complete blockage or stenosis of the fallopian tubes; bilateral perisalpingitis causes distortion and deformation of the fallopian tubes, affecting the normal transportation of fertilized eggs in the fallopian tubes.

(2) Abnormal growth, development or function of the bilateral fallopian tubes. Bilateral fallopian tubes that are too long, incomplete development of the muscular layer, mucosal microvilli defects, bilateral fallopian tubes, diverticula or accessory umbrellas can all be the causes of tubal pregnancy. The physiological functions of the bilateral fallopian tubes are complex. The peristalsis of the bilateral fallopian tube walls, microvilli activity, and metabolism of squamous epithelial cells are all carefully regulated by estrogen and estrogens. If there is an imbalance between the two hormones, it may affect the transport of the fertilized egg and cause tubal pregnancy.

(3) IUD. The relationship between the intrauterine device (IUD) and the incidence of ectopic pregnancy has attracted great attention from countries around the world. Many experts and scholars have found that with the widespread use of IUD, the incidence of ectopic pregnancy has increased, and the reason may be due to fallopian tube inflammation after the use of IUD. However, the recommendations are not yet unified.

(4) After fallopian tube surgery. Regardless of whether bilateral tubal sterilization is performed by ligation, electrocoagulation, or cuff, if bilateral tubal fistula or recanalization occurs, there is a possibility of tubal pregnancy.

(5) Pelvic endometriosis. It is mainly caused by mechanical factors. In addition, the uterine wall located in the pelvis may have a chemotactic effect on the fertilized egg, promoting its implantation outside the uterine cavity.

(6) The movement of the fertilized egg. During the ovulation period of one side of the uterus and ovary, after fertilization, the fertilized egg moves to the other side through the uterine cavity or abdomen and enters the bilateral fallopian tubes on the other side. This is the movement of the fertilized egg. If the migration time is too long, the fertilized egg will grow too big and cannot pass through the fallopian tubes, thus causing the embryo to implant at this point.

This article introduces in detail the most common location of fallopian tube pregnancy and the causes of fallopian tube pregnancy. I believe that many female friends should have a certain understanding of it. They should pay attention to hygiene, eat a balanced diet, and be in a good mood. They should also adjust their mentality when they are under too much work pressure. Routine physical examinations should be performed during pregnancy to determine the site of implantation of the fertilized egg and to prevent fallopian tube pregnancy.
