Dietary adjustments during menopause

Dietary adjustments during menopause

Many people feel irritated when they hear about menopause, especially some women. Once they reach menopause, they will become nagging and dissatisfied with everything. Sometimes they will even have a big quarrel for no reason. Therefore, during the menopause stage, many families often become restless. How should people who are in menopause adjust themselves? This requires not only spiritual comfort, but also dietary adjustments.

1. Eat a light diet

Limit salt intake to less than 6 grams per day. Because menopause is often prone to hypertension and arteriosclerosis, and table salt contains a large amount of sodium ions, eating too much salt can increase the burden on the heart and increase blood viscosity, thereby raising blood pressure. 2. Don’t eat too much sugar

Eating too much sugar can cause obesity. You can eat more complex carbohydrates, such as starch, millet, etc.

3. Low-fat diet

Limit animal fats and foods high in cholesterol, such as egg yolks, brain marrow, and animal offal. It is best to eat vegetable oils, such as corn oil, soybean oil, peanut oil, etc.

4. Adequate protein

As the gonads degenerate during menopause, other tissues and organs also gradually degenerate. Therefore, high-quality protein should be selected in the diet, such as milk, eggs, lean meat, fish, poultry and soy products.

5. Eat more fresh green vegetables and fruits

Especially vegetables and fruits rich in carotene, inorganic salts and fiber, such as Chinese cabbage, celery, jujube, hawthorn, etc., can increase the toughness of blood vessels, promote the elimination of blood cholesterol, and prevent atherosclerosis and coronary heart disease.

During menopause, people need to maintain a relatively peaceful mentality, need the tolerance and understanding of their families, and need to improve their living conditions in daily life. Although the effect of dietary adjustments is not very significant, it can also relieve the patient's symptoms and help people in menopause live a healthy life.
