Friends, are you so busy with work that you neglect your body every day? Are you so busy making money to support your family that you don’t notice the subtle changes in your body? Some female friends are shy or too busy to have time, so they don’t notice the abnormalities in their bodies at all, and they can’t go to the hospital for examination and treatment in time. So today, I will talk to you about abnormal leucorrhea. Here, you can learn what leucorrhea is, why it is abnormal, and how to check and treat it. Abnormal leucorrhea refers to an increase in the amount of vaginal discharge in women. Sometimes increased vaginal discharge is a normal physiological phenomenon. If increased vaginal discharge is accompanied by multiple symptoms, you should be alert to the occurrence of gynecological diseases. Increased leucorrhea can be divided into physiological leucorrhea increase and pathological leucorrhea increase. In healthy women, the increase in vaginal discharge is directly proportional to the increase in estrogen levels in the body. For example, increased vaginal discharge may occur during ovulation or pregnancy, when the endometrium grows too long, or after the use of estrogen drugs. Vaginitis, chronic cervicitis, senile vaginitis, endometritis, uterine effusion or foreign body in the vagina, uterine fibroids, genital herpes, gonorrhea, condyloma acuminatum, uterine prolapse, chronic pelvic inflammatory disease, etc. Clinical manifestations: Pathological leucorrhea, changes in amount, color, shape, and taste may indicate different diseases. 1. Purulent leucorrhea The color is yellow or yellow-green, mucus or foamy, and has a foul odor. It is mostly caused by vaginal inflammation, among which Trichomonas vaginitis is the most common, and is often accompanied by vulvar itching. It can be seen in chronic cervicitis, senile vaginitis, endometritis, mesometrial effusion or foreign body in the vagina. 2. Cheese-like or tofu-like leucorrhea Most of them are typical phenomena of candidal vaginitis, often accompanied by severe vulvar itching. 3. Bloody leucorrhea, leucorrhea mixed with blood Be alert to the possibility of malignant tumors such as cervical cancer and endometrial cancer. However, benign lesions such as cervical polyps, cervical erosion, submucosal myoma, dysfunctional uterine bleeding, urethral caruncle, senile vaginitis, etc. can also cause bloody leucorrhea. A small amount of bloody leucorrhea caused by intrauterine contraceptive device is also common. 4. Yellow watery leucorrhea It often occurs after continuous vaginal bleeding, with a large amount of purulent and foul-smelling leucorrhea flowing out of the vagina. Advanced cervical cancer, endometrial cancer, or submucosal myoma with infection should be considered first. Those with paroxysmal discharge should be aware of the possibility of fallopian tube cancer. Urinary dysfunction with increased vaginal discharge In typical gonococcal infection, the amount of leucorrhea and urethral secretions may increase and be yellow and purulent. The leucorrhea caused by chlamydia is less viscous and there is an increase in white serous cervical secretions. To check whether the leucorrhea is normal, you need to observe and judge based on the amount, color, texture, and smell. Normal leucorrhea should be milky white or colorless and transparent, with a slightly fishy smell or no smell; its secretion amount and texture are affected by the levels of estrogen and progesterone in the body, and vary cyclically with the menstrual cycle, with varying amounts, textures and thicknesses. Generally, the amount of leucorrhea is less after the menstrual period; before ovulation, due to the increase in estrogen levels in the body, the epithelial cells of the cervical glands are stimulated to proliferate, the secretion of cervical mucus increases, and the sodium chloride content in the mucus increases, which can absorb more water, causing the leucorrhea to increase during ovulation, and the texture is thin, clear in color, and looks like egg white, which can be stretched into long threads; after ovulation, estrogen levels gradually decrease, progesterone levels increase, the secretion of cervical mucus is inhibited, and the sodium chloride content in the mucus also decreases, causing the leucorrhea at this time to be thick, milky white, with poor ductility, and easy to break when drawn. In addition, there are some physiological phenomena, such as pregnancy and oral contraceptives, which can cause an increase in vaginal discharge. The cause is also related to changes in estrogen and progesterone levels in the body. If the amount of vaginal discharge increases for no apparent reason, or is accompanied by changes in color, texture, or odor, you should be alert. Finally, having said so much, I believe that everyone has a certain understanding of the abnormalities of leucorrhea. However, knowing it is not enough. You also need to apply what is said in the article to your life, care about your wife, care about your mother, care about your daughter, care about your beloved self, and if you are tired of running around in the steel forest, then calm down and love yourself well. |
