What causes left side abdominal pain during early pregnancy?

During pregnancy, there will be different degrees of pregnancy reactions. Some people react more strongly and will have pregnancy reactions until before giving birth, while others do not react very strongly or even have no reaction at all. During pregnancy, abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting are common phenomena. Let us understand what causes abdominal pain on the left side in early pregnancy.

Generally speaking, left-side abdominal pain in early pregnancy is caused by two changes:

Physiological changes: If the embryo implants in the uterine cavity in the early stages of pregnancy, a small number of women will experience implantation pain. As the uterus grows and the round ligament of the uterus is stretched, many pregnant women will feel some abdominal pain. This type of pain is mostly located on one or both sides of the uterus in the lower abdomen, and is referred pain, dull pain or lack thereof. The pain becomes more obvious when walking a long distance or changing body position. These can cause left side abdominal pain in early pregnancy.

Pathological changes: If a pregnant woman experiences abdominal pain, especially pain in the lower abdomen, the first thing she should consider is whether it is a pregnancy complication. Common complications include threatened miscarriage and ectopic pregnancy. If a pregnant woman experiences paroxysmal lower abdominal pain or regular abdominal pain, back pain, or pelvic pain in the first few months of pregnancy, the problem may be more complicated. If it is accompanied by vaginal spotting or a noticeable feeling of abdominal heaviness, it may indicate threatened miscarriage. If you experience severe unilateral lower abdominal pain, accompanied by vaginal bleeding or fainting, it may be an ectopic pregnancy.

The above are the pathological changes of left abdominal pain in early pregnancy. Pregnancy is a special period. You must have a full understanding of your physical condition and not let the child's development be affected by momentary negligence. There are some other precautions during pregnancy, otherwise it will affect the development of the child.
