Reasons for bleeding in women

Reasons for bleeding in women

There are many common diseases among women. When treating women's diseases, we cannot choose treatment methods at will. Especially when treating gynecological diseases, we should focus on treatments suitable for women. This will be very helpful in improving the disease. Common female diseases are vaginitis and endometritis. These diseases are very threatening to women's bodies. So what is the reason for bleeding in women?

Reasons for bleeding in women:

1. Vaginal diseases.

(1) Vaginitis: When severe candidal vaginitis occurs, the vaginal mucosa may be covered with a white film-like substance. After wiping it off, superficial ulcers or erosions may be seen on the vaginal wall, and there may be bleeding on the ulcer surface. Patients often have vulvar itching and pain and dreg-like leucorrhea. When suffering from senile vaginitis, the patient's vaginal wall may also have small bleeding spots, usually in small amounts, with blood in the leucorrhea, and accompanied by itching and pain in the vulva.

(2) Vaginal tumors: When a tumor, such as vaginal cancer, grows on the vaginal wall, the tumor surface may become necrotic and ulcerated due to infection, causing irregular vaginal bleeding, but the amount of bleeding is generally not much.

(3) Vaginal injury: Foreign bodies in the vagina can damage the vaginal wall and cause bleeding. Since the vaginal wall of postmenopausal women is thin, sexual intercourse may also cause vaginal injury, leading to vaginal bleeding.

2. Cervical lesions.

(1) Cervical inflammation: Vaginal bleeding may occasionally occur when suffering from cervical polyps or cervical erosion. Most of the time, there will be blood in the leucorrhea, and most of the time it is contact bleeding. When suffering from cervical tuberculosis, the diseased tissue may ulcerate, and when the ulcer surface ruptures, it will cause vaginal bleeding; sometimes the diseased tissue is nodular or papillary, and because of its brittle texture, it is also prone to bleeding.

(2) Cervical cancer: When the tumor invades the blood vessels in the stroma, it can cause vaginal bleeding. It starts as contact bleeding and then develops into a small amount of irregular vaginal bleeding. In the late stage, the amount of bleeding increases and may even be heavy bleeding.

3. Uterine lesions.

(1) Endometritis: In acute endometritis, the endometrium becomes congested and edematous. In severe cases, ulcers may form on the surface of the endometrium, causing excessive menstrual flow or continuous vaginal bleeding. In chronic endometritis, the regeneration and repair of the endometrium are affected, resulting in increased or prolonged menstrual flow, or irregular vaginal bleeding. In addition, when suffering from endometrial tuberculosis, the endometrium may also be damaged and ulcers may occur on the surface, causing irregular vaginal bleeding.

(2) Uterine tumors: Uterine fibroids not only hinder the normal contraction and hemostasis function of the uterus, but also increase the area of the uterine cavity due to the protrusion and growth of the fibroids into the uterine cavity, causing the cavity to deform and affecting the normal shedding of the endometrium. Submucosal uterine fibroids are even prone to necrosis and infection. These reasons may lead to heavy menstrual flow, prolonged menstrual period, or irregular vaginal bleeding. Endometrial polyps can also cause the above symptoms by increasing the area of the endometrium or secondary infection. When suffering from endometrial cancer or uterine sarcoma, a small amount of irregular vaginal bleeding or postmenopausal uterine bleeding may also occur. Dysfunctional uterine bleeding is often manifested by abnormal menstrual cycles and periods. The bleeding may be more or less, sometimes there is no bleeding, or even continuous. Among these, 90% of patients suffer from anovulatory functional uterine bleeding. The cause of dysfunctional uterine bleeding is that factors such as fatigue, emotional tension, and environmental changes interfere with the coordination mechanism between the hypothalamus-pituitary-ovarian axis of the human body, causing ovarian dysfunction and sex hormone secretion disorders, which in turn lead to abnormal cyclical changes in the endometrium.

These diseases are the causes of vaginal bleeding in women. When women experience such situations, they must undergo a physical examination in a timely manner so that they can choose the correct method during treatment. The treatment of these diseases in women also requires a long time, so women must actively cooperate to facilitate the improvement of the disease.
