1. The lumps are nodular and of varying sizes, tough but not hard, with no adhesion to the skin and unclear boundaries with surrounding tissues. The lumps may shrink after menstruation.

2. Mammary duct enlargement: In the early stages, patients will experience symptoms of nipple secretions, which are mostly brown, and a few are bloody. Laboratory tests can show a large number of plasma cells and lymphocytes but no tumor cells. The ipsilateral axillary lymph nodes of some patients may be enlarged, soft, and tender.

3. Breast cancer: bright red or dark red nipple secretions, sometimes patients will also have watery discharge, colorless and transparent, occasionally sticky, leaving no trace after overflow, laboratory examination can find cancer cells in the discharge, the onset is slow, patients may inadvertently find breast lumps, mostly located in the upper inner or outer upper limit, painless, and gradually larger.

4. Intraductal papilloma: This disease is more common in people aged 40-50. The tumor is very small, with a pedicle and villous, and has many thin-walled blood vessels. Laboratory tests can find tumor cells in the discharge. Sometimes, when the patient carefully touches the breast, a cherry-sized lump under the areola can be found, which is soft, smooth and loose.
