During the hormone test, there are various data on the test sheet, and the standard values of different hormones are also different. I believe that most women do not understand this test list, after all, they are not professionals. For example, the progesterone value in the follicular phase is a professional term, so what does the progesterone value in the follicular phase mean? Progesterone level is actually what we often call estrogen. In each menstrual cycle, the level of progesterone level is different. According to the changes in progesterone values, it can help determine the stage of ovulation in the uterus and ovaries. For example, there are several stages in the production of eggs in the uterus and ovaries, namely the follicular phase, ovulation phase, follicular phase, and menopause. During the follicular phase, the progesterone level is relatively low. The progesterone level in the follicular phase refers to this stage. In one menstrual cycle, the progesterone level during the follicular phase is between 0.31-1.52, during the follicular phase it reaches 5.16-18.56, and during menopause the progesterone level is only 0.08-0.78. The entire follicular phase lasts for 12 days, which is the time from the end of the last menstrual period to the ovulation period. No matter which stage of the ovulation period, the progesterone level is very important. If the progesterone level is abnormal, the human endocrine system will be disrupted, and the human body will also have a series of endocrine imbalance symptoms, and severe ones may affect pregnancy. Therefore, abnormal progesterone levels require active treatment and do not delay treatment. Three stages of ovarian and uterine egg production It should be understood that the egg-producing function of the uterus and ovaries changes regularly every month and is generally divided into three stages, namely the follicular phase, ovulation phase and follicular phase. 1. Follicular phase It is the stage when the uterus develops and matures. During the development stage, the initial egg undergoes different development processes of primary egg, secondary coil egg, and finally becomes a mature follicle. The follicular phase starts from the last day of the menstrual period and ends with ovulation, which lasts for 10-12 days. In this stage, the granulosa cells of the egg produce estrogen under the action of FSH and LH. Under the action of estrogen, the uterine wall proliferates rapidly, blood vessels proliferate, and the glandular ducts widen and lengthen, but no metabolism occurs. At the end of this period, the uterus and ovaries ovulate. If the egg is fully formed but cannot be discharged due to some reason, it will move on to the next period. 2. Ovulation Under the action of the peak of LH metabolism, the mature follicle moves to the surface of the ovary, the egg wall breaks open, the ovulation hole appears, and the egg, zona pellucida, corona radiata and egg fluid are discharged. This process is called ovulation. The released eggs are captured by the bilateral fallopian tube umbrellas and sent into the bilateral fallopian tubes. 3. Follicular phase After ovulation, the follicular phase begins. The remaining egg wall becomes concave, blood enters the egg cavity, and coagulates to form blood. As the blood is digested and absorbed, granulosa cells and endometrial cells proliferate and luteinize, producing a corpus luteum with a yellow appearance. If the egg is fertilized successfully, the test tube embryo metabolizes hCG, causing the corpus luteum to continue to develop into corpus luteum for pregnancy. |
