What is the ratio of FSH to LH?

What is the ratio of FSH to LH?

Whether a woman is aging can be determined by checking her own fsh and lh values, because once a woman is aging, her body's fsh and lh values will change. In medicine, there are also professional fsh and lh values to measure women's aging status. So what is the ratio of fsh to lh that indicates aging? Let me explain it to you below.

What is the ratio of fsh to lh?

Premature ovarian failure occurs when a person is under 35 years old and has an FSH level of more than 40. Generally, aging is not diagnosed based on the FSH to LH ratio. However, an FSH to LH ratio of more than 2-3.6 indicates poor uterine and ovarian reserve, which means low uterine and ovarian response and poor ovulation induction treatment results. An abnormal FSH to LH ratio means that there is a certain abnormality in the values of ovulation-stimulating hormone and progesterone. Premature ovarian failure can be treated by estrogen-progesterone replacement therapy or by taking oral medications such as medroxyprogesterone acetate tablets.

Both FSH and LH are produced by the anterior pituitary gland and are metabolized in a single pulse during the physiological cycle, with significant time differences. In women, FSH can promote egg maturation and is an important test for diagnosing infertility. The LH peak in the middle and late menstrual period can induce ovulation and is particularly important in predicting a woman's ovulation period.

LH and FSH change synchronously during the menstrual cycle and are often tested together. In a normal physiological cycle, blood FSH and LH remain at low levels in the early ovulation period (2-3 days of menstruation). They rise rapidly before ovulation, with LH reaching 3-8 times the normal value, reaching 160 IU/L or even higher, while FSH is only about 2 times the normal value, rarely >30 IU/L. After ovulation, FSH and LH quickly return to follicular phase levels.

Diet therapy for premature ovarian failure

A decrease in estrogen can cause menstrual disorders, thereby inhibiting the normal ovulation function of the uterus and ovaries, easily leading to premature ovarian failure and causing early menopause. If you find that your uterus and ovaries have signs of aging, you might as well improve them through diet therapy. There are many dietary treatments for premature ovarian failure, one of the most important points is to eat more foods containing estrogen. Eating more foods containing estrogen can make the skin more delicate and elastic, but estrogen is a double-edged knife. Once consumed in excess, it can also cause harm to the body. Therefore, foods with dual regulatory functions should be selected.

1. Soybeans and bean products contain isosphingomyelin, which has the function of balancing estrogen and dual regulation, and it is difficult to find a second kind of it in food.

2. Vitamin D has a certain relationship with growth hormone. If you take 1 cup of milk and 500 grams of fish every day for a long time, it can help regulate the balance of female hormones.

3. Foods containing selenium and zinc also play a unique role in balancing female hormones. Selenium-containing vegetables and fruits include chrysanthemum, garlic, oyster mushroom, tomato, wax gourd, etc.; zinc-containing foods include oysters, mackerel, squid, kelp, beans, sesame, walnuts, etc., among which oysters are particularly rich in zinc.

4. Milk, meat, and cheese contain a lot of saturated fatty acids. Excessive intake will stimulate excessive secretion of estrogen.
