Is it normal to have no fetal movement for a day or two?

The fetal movement will be reflected immediately after the baby is formed. The fetal movement is also an important reflection of the baby's health. If the fetal movement is small or abnormal, it may mean that the baby's health is problematic. If pregnant mothers feel it carefully, they can give the child immediate treatment. It can be seen that it is also very important for pregnant mothers to be careful. So, is it normal to have no fetal movement for a day or two?

Generally, fetal movements occur between 18 and 20 weeks of pregnancy. Fetal movements occur more than 10 times in 12 hours, and 3 to 5 times per hour are normal. Decreased or increased fetal movements are mostly considered to be a sign of fetal hypoxia in the uterine cavity. Abnormal fetal movements are a sign of intrauterine distress. If the fetus is hypoxic in the uterus, the first manifestation will be changes in fetal movement. Therefore, in addition to prenatal checkups during pregnancy, pregnant women can judge whether the fetus is safe in the uterine cavity based on changes in fetal movements. The frequency and speed of the baby's fetal movement express the well-being of the fetus. Normally, the baby's fetal movement is not less than 3 to 5 times per hour, and the number of obvious fetal movements in 12 hours is more than 30 to 40 times. However, due to the large individual differences between fetuses, some fetuses move about 100 times in 12 hours. As long as the fetal movement is regular and rhythmic, with little change, it proves that the baby's development is normal.

If pregnant mothers find that the frequency of fetal movement suddenly decreases, they need to be careful. This is probably because pregnant mothers are feeling unwell, such as having a fever or hypoglycemia. Therefore, pregnant mothers with fever during pregnancy should learn scientific physical cooling of fever. If the fever cannot be reduced for a long time and the fetal movement is felt to be less frequent, pregnant mothers need to see a doctor immediately.

Sometimes the fetal movement is normal, but it suddenly accelerates, which is also a kind of abnormal fetal movement. The cause of this situation is likely that the pregnant mothers have suffered significant trauma, which in turn affects the fetus. If this happens, pregnant mothers should go to the hospital for examination immediately. In addition, usually try to avoid going to places where people gather and air is not circulating to avoid squeezing and collision.
