Drugs for fungal bacterial vaginitis

Drugs for fungal bacterial vaginitis

Most women with candidal vaginitis are infected with bacteria such as Candida albicans. The main symptoms are usually dreg-like leucorrhea and private itching. In severe cases, the vulva may become red, swollen, ulcerated, and painful, and frequent urination, urgency, and pain may occur during urination. Generally speaking, the use of drugs to treat candidal vaginitis can quickly alleviate the symptoms. So, what drugs are better for candidal vaginitis?

1. Since candidal vaginitis is caused by bacterial infection, antifungal drugs need to be used in treatment. Nystatin is a commonly used drug in clinical medicine for the treatment of candidal vaginitis. This type of drug not only has the effect of quickly alleviating symptoms, but also has a relatively high safety factor. The types of Chinese medicine preparations currently used are mainly divided into oral tablets and suppositories for female vaginal use. Generally, patients can achieve satisfactory therapeutic effects by taking a certain amount of vaginal suppositories for a period of time. If the patient's symptoms are severe, he or she has no sexual life or is sick during menstruation, a certain amount of nystatin tablets can be taken orally, 4 times a day. Other drugs that can be used to treat candidal vaginitis include fluconazole tablets (Dafukang), itraconazole (Sporanox), terbinafine (Lamishu), etc. These are all oral medicines.

2. When treating candidal vaginitis, whether it is oral antifungal drugs or vaginal suppositories, patients must cooperate with external washing medication. Because fungal infection can cause the female vaginal environment to become acidic and alkaline, it is necessary to use an alkaline soda solution to clean it. This medicine may seem insignificant, but it can change the acidity and alkalinity of the vagina and has the effect of inhibiting the growth of fungi. Generally, patients can use it 1-2 times a day.

Generally speaking, the treatment of candidal vaginitis is mainly based on local vaginal cleaning and medication. However, patients should pay attention to hygiene in daily life, take sitz baths on a regular basis, and disinfect underwear in time. They must not have sexual intercourse before recovery to reduce infection and transmission. If necessary, couples should have regular checkups and treatments together.
