Female thyroid adenoma is a relatively serious disease that affects the secretion of thyroid hormones, thereby leading to growth stunting and respiratory disorders. Female thyroid adenomas generally occur in people around 40 years old, and the incidence rate of thyroid adenomas is very high. They may also metastasize. Therefore, when women develop thyroid adenomas, they should immediately use chemotherapy and radiotherapy to treat the tumor. Symptoms of thyroid tumors in women include the following: 1. Benign thyroid tumor The symptoms of thyroid tumor are thyroid adenoma, which accounts for about 60% of thyroid diseases and is more common in women. According to domestic statistics, the ratio of female to male is 3:1. The age of onset is mostly during the period when thyroid function is active, that is, between 20 and 40 years old, and the incidence gradually decreases after the age of 40. 2. Malignant thyroid tumors 1. Thyroid cancer: Papillary adenocarcinoma accounts for about 75%; follicular carcinoma accounts for about 10% to 15%; medullary carcinoma accounts for about 3% to 10%; and undifferentiated carcinoma accounts for about 5% to 10%. 2. Malignant thyroid lymphoma rarely originates in the thyroid gland and is often part of systemic malignant lymphoma. 3. Metastatic cancer is rare. 4. Other primary malignant tumors such as thyroid sarcoma are extremely rare. Patients with thyroid disease initially have no symptoms and it is usually discovered by accident. The disease usually has a long course and develops slowly. The early symptoms are painless masses in the anterior neck area, which are mostly single, round, oval or nodular in shape, of varying sizes, with clear boundaries, medium hardness, smooth surface, good mobility, and can move up and down with swallowing. Because there is no discomfort, the tumor is usually the size of a date when discovered. Sometimes the tumor may suddenly increase in size and be accompanied by swelling, pain and discomfort, which is mostly caused by bleeding in the tumor capsule. In rare cases, larger adenomas may cause tracheal compression, but compression of the recurrent laryngeal nerve is extremely rare. Patients occasionally find a nodule or lump in the anterior neck area. Some lumps have existed for many years but have only recently rapidly increased in size or metastasized. Some patients have no discomfort for a long time and only pay attention to it when cervical lymph node metastasis, pathological fractures, hoarseness, respiratory disorders, and dysphagia occur in the later stage. The symptoms of thyroid adenoma are divided into benign and malignant. The vast majority are benign tumors, and a few are cancers. Benign thyroid adenoma itself is not serious, but if the thyroid adenoma is not treated in time, the tumor may continue to grow larger, and the patient will experience symptoms such as difficulty breathing, difficulty swallowing, and hoarseness due to compression of the trachea, esophagus, and recurrent laryngeal nerve by the large tumor. Therefore, treatment should be sought as soon as possible after discovery to get rid of thyroid tumors and restore health as soon as possible. |
