Can endometritis be detected by ultrasound?

Endometritis is a very common disease in women. When endometritis is mild, it will show some physical symptoms, but it is usually not detected by B-ultrasound. If the endometritis is more serious, B-ultrasound can be used for examination. You can observe the changes and symptoms in your body more often.

Can endometritis be detected by B-ultrasound?

Usually, when a woman's endometrium is inflamed, it only manifests as mild symptoms, such as abnormal vaginal discharge or vulvar abnormalities. The difference between the endometrium and the normal endometrium is not very obvious.

At this time, B-ultrasound cannot diagnose endometritis. It must develop to a relatively serious stage, such as water accumulation or obvious hyperplasia and thickening. At this time, some abnormalities can be found on B-ultrasound and the report can diagnose it as abnormal endometrium. The diagnosis of endometritis must be combined with clinical diagnosis, because endometritis, strictly speaking, is not an ultrasound diagnosis, but a clinical diagnosis.

1. In fact, B-ultrasound is a common examination method for gynecological diseases. B-ultrasound examination can be used to diagnose many gynecological diseases, but B-ultrasound examination is generally a preliminary examination of these gynecological diseases. For example, if you have endometritis, you can use B-ultrasound to check first, but B-ultrasound examination is only a very rough examination method. Such an examination cannot know what the specific infectious bacteria is, nor can it know the specific situation of inflammation. If you want to further examine endometritis, you must perform a diagnostic curettage.

2. B-ultrasound examination of the manifestations of endometritis. If endometritis is found during the examination, then ultrasound will reveal that the patient's endometrium is swollen and pale. If the inflammation lasts for a long time, B-ultrasound examination can reveal the proliferation of fibroblasts and capillaries. If an elderly friend is examined for endometritis, it will be found that the endometrial blood vessel walls are thickened, the blood vessels are calcified, and the blood vessels are hardened. Some patients with endometritis may be found to have severe local ulcers in the endometrium through B-ultrasound examination, with squamous metaplasia on the surface, etc.
