If there is increased vaginal discharge, vulvar itching, or an unusual odor or color of discharge, vaginitis is suspected. First, a gynecological examination is required. The vagina is opened with a speculum to determine whether the vaginal mucosa has inflammatory reactions such as congestion and edema, whether there are any growths, the nature of the secretions, and whether there is local inflammation of the cervix. Take secretions from the posterior fornix for routine examination of leucorrhea. If necessary, it is recommended to do tests for mycoplasma and chlamydia.
