Menstruation only came a little bit and then stopped

For women, there are always a few days every month when it is normal to have menstruation. Some women are very concerned about the time of their menstruation, the amount of menstrual blood each time, and the color of menstrual blood. Some women find that their menstrual flow is very small. What is going on?

If a woman has a small amount of menstrual flow, it may be due to uterine hypoplasia. The source of menstruation is the regular shedding of the uterine wall. If a woman's uterus is underdeveloped, such as uterine malformation or a smaller uterus, the uterine wall will shed less each month and her menstruation will also be less. In addition, if a woman's uterine wall is severely damaged, she may also experience less menstruation.

Secondly, a woman’s light menstrual flow may also be due to abnormalities in her hormone secretion. The thickness of a woman's endometrium undergoes regular changes every month, which is mainly regulated by hormones. If a woman's hormone secretion is abnormal, the thickness of the endometrium does not reach the normal thickness, and the shedding of the uterine wall increases, less menstruation will also occur.

Secondly, a woman's light menstrual flow during her period may also be due to the fact that it is an anovulatory period. Some women do not have an ovulation period, but they still have their periods, which is called anovulatory menstruation. However, this is different from a normal menstrual period and is classified as multifunctional abnormal uterine bleeding. Women with anovulatory menstruation not only have less menstrual flow, but also have irregular menstrual periods.
