Junior high school girls long hair

When girls are in junior high school, they are already 11 or 12 years old and begin to enter the puberty stage. As parents, we need to pay attention and tell our children some knowledge about protecting themselves and inform them of the changes in their physical development. First of all, junior high school girls have begun to grow pubic hair at this age, but it is not very thick yet.

A small number of adolescent girls may have varying degrees of increased body hair, mainly on the extensor side of the limbs, with increased, long and dense body hair. The main cause of female hirsutism is excessive production of androgens in the body. Female androgens are mainly produced in the ovaries. Female hirsutism can be pathological or physiological. Pathological hirsutism is common in the following diseases:

(1) Polycystic ovary syndrome: symptoms include decreased menstruation, decreased libido, acne, hirsutism, and increased testosterone in the blood;

(2) Ovarian tumors: Hirsutism occurs because the ovaries secrete a large amount of hormones;

(3) Congenital adrenal hyperplasia: often accompanied by polycystic ovarian lesions resulting in hirsutism;

(4) Others: Rare endocrine diseases, such as hyperprolactinemia and acromegaly, can also cause hirsutism;

(5) Drug-induced hirsutism: Long-term use of certain drugs such as phenytoin or androgens can cause hirsutism and masculinization. Physiological hirsutism is also called idiopathic hirsutism, which means that there are no endocrine abnormalities and tumors mentioned above, and the amount of androgens in the serum is normal, but the hair follicles in the skin are very sensitive to low levels of androgens, resulting in hirsutism. It often has a family hereditary tendency and generally does not affect the functions and metabolism of various aspects of the body. Most young women belong to this category.
