How to relieve the pain of period

When menstruation comes, it always brings us various uncomfortable symptoms. Among them, dysmenorrhea is experienced by most women. Especially for women with more serious conditions, the pain is so severe that they need to stay in bed to rest. So, is there any way to relieve the pain during menstruation? In fact, women can relieve the inconvenience caused by dysmenorrhea through massage, diet therapy, acupuncture and other methods.

1. Take painkillers: When menstrual cramps begin, women can take painkillers with milk or food. The painkillers take effect in about 20-30 minutes and last for 12 hours. This method is not recommended for long-term use.

2. Moxibustion: Select acupoints such as Sanyinjiao and Zusanli, and hang the moxa stick at a height of about 3 cm from the acupoints to make the local area warm without burning pain. Massage each acupoint for about 10-15 minutes, until a blush appears on the skin.

3. Massage method: Rub the palms of the patient together until they become warm, and massage the lower abdomen below the navel in a clockwise direction for about 200 times. Or press and rub the Zusanli and Sanyinjiao points for 1 minute each.

4. Hot compress: Hot compress on the lower abdomen can help relieve uterine spasms, promote blood circulation in the abdomen, and relieve dysmenorrhea. If you use heated Chinese medicine for hot compress, the effects of promoting blood circulation, activating meridians, promoting qi and relieving pain will be better.
