Why does the scrotum peel?

Why does the scrotum peel?

In our lives, it is very normal for some parts of our body to peel off. When it comes to peeling of hands, I believe everyone should be familiar with it. It usually occurs when there is a lack of vitamin E. However, in daily life, many men experience scrotal peeling. Since the harm caused by the disease is quite special, this type of patients must be very concerned about the cause. So, what is the cause of scrotal peeling? Let's take a look!

1. Male scrotal itching and peeling often affects the entire scrotum, the affected area is extremely itchy, the course of the disease is long-lasting, recurs repeatedly, and cannot be cured after repeated treatments. In the acute phase, there may be various changes such as papules, blisters, pustules, erosions, exudation, and scabs. Scrotal itching and peeling is caused by a variety of internal and external factors. It is an itchy skin disease with scrotal papules, erosions, and exudation as the main symptoms in the acute phase and epidermal hypertrophy and lichenification as the main symptoms in the chronic phase. The incidence of scrotal eczema is highest in summer and autumn. In the chronic stage, it is manifested by deepening of skin grooves, thickening of skin, and roughness of scrotal skin like leather. If it is delayed or not treated properly, the acute stage and chronic stage may transition each other, and the course of the disease may continue for many years.

The most important thing to avoid when itching and peeling the scrotum is scratching, rubbing, friction, scalding, etc. Hot water, soap, salt water, alkaline water, etc., and external use of iodine, ringworm medicine, garlic and other irritants are also not suitable. In fact, as long as male friends can ensure that they do not scratch or irritate the skin, many conditions can gradually improve.

In addition, scrotal itching and peeling is a very common manifestation, especially in young men. Generally speaking, there may be the following reasons:

1. Riboflavin deficiency may lead to scrotitis. The scrotum may present with changes such as erythema, dryness, scaling, papules and crusting, accompanied by itching.

2. Neurodermatitis and eczema in the scrotum area can cause itching.

3. It is more common among manual laborers, especially in summer, when the genitals have high temperature, sweat a lot, are humid, and have poor ventilation. The scrotal skin is affected by sweat immersion and friction from underwear, resulting in scrotal itching and peeling. This situation can occur if you wear overly tight jeans or nylon underwear that is not absorbent or breathable.

4. Scrotitis caused by fungi, such as candidal scrotitis and tinea cruris involving the scrotum, can cause scrotal itching and peeling.

After understanding what scrotal peeling is, you need to pay attention to it. After all, every man's condition is different and the treatment methods required are different. If you feel the situation is serious, it is best to go to a regular hospital for examination. After figuring out the condition, you can better solve it. This is the most important thing.

2. Prevention of scrotal eczema

1. Keep it clean and avoid dirt: Men should develop a good habit of washing their lower body with warm water before going to bed, but be careful not to use water that is too hot. Pay attention to the order when cleaning. The scrubbing direction should be from top to bottom, from front to back, that is, wash the penis and scrotum first, and then the anus. Prepare a separate soft towel for wiping. If your foreskin is too long and you are afraid of surgery, you need to be more diligent and daily cleaning is essential. Each time you wash, you should turn up the foreskin and clean the smegma thoroughly.

2. It should be breathable, not closed: Men's underwear should be soft and breathable. It is not advisable to wear tight underwear. It is best not to wear jeans, but wear loose pants to let "it" cool down and breathe. In addition, you might as well try sleeping naked, which can allow your private parts to enjoy a rare feeling of comfort in the quiet night.

3. Be relaxed, not oppressive: The standard reference value of normal male semen: in the late 1980s, it was 120 million sperms per milliliter, and now it is only 20 million per milliliter; one in six couples of childbearing age has infertility problems; a significant decrease in male sperm count and infertility are closely related to an unhealthy lifestyle.
