Why is the vaginal discharge like jelly and elastic?

Why is it that the leucorrhea is very elastic when I pinch it with my hands, like jelly? This may be caused by the semi-solidified leucorrhea in the body due to uterine cold. When the coldness inside the body is severe, water will be blocked due to poor circulation, so it will feel like jelly when pinched. When this happens, you can use moxibustion or some Chinese medicine to restore the leucorrhea to normal state.

Normal leucorrhea should be milky white or colorless and transparent, with a slightly fishy smell or no smell; its secretion amount and texture are affected by the levels of estrogen and progesterone in the body, and vary periodically with the menstrual cycle, with varying amounts, textures and thicknesses. Generally, the amount of leucorrhea is less after the menstrual period; before ovulation, due to the increase in estrogen levels in the body, the epithelial cells of the cervical glands are stimulated to proliferate, the secretion of cervical mucus increases, and the sodium chloride content in the mucus increases, which can absorb more water, causing the leucorrhea to increase during ovulation, and the texture is thin, clear in color, and looks like egg white, which can be stretched into long threads; after ovulation, estrogen levels gradually decrease, progesterone levels increase, the secretion of cervical mucus is inhibited, and the sodium chloride content in the mucus also decreases, making the leucorrhea at this time thick, milky white, with poor ductility, and easy to break when drawn.

There are also cases of vaginitis, which is mostly caused by bacterial or viral infection, and often causes black, yellow or brown secretions, pain, excessive vaginal discharge, odor, itching, bleeding, frequent and urgent urination, abnormal vaginal discharge, swelling, lower abdominal pain, etc. After this happens, the diagnosis can be confirmed through daily auxiliary examinations.

Abnormal leucorrhea may be caused by some gynecological diseases. The harm caused by these diseases should not be underestimated by anyone. Therefore, when patients have abnormal leucorrhea, please do some examinations in time and then receive timely treatment. As for the hospital, most Grade A hospitals are fine. If patients experience any discomfort, they should go to the hospital for treatment as soon as possible.
