What causes ovarian tumors?

The ovaries are a very important organ in the female body. If you take good care of your ovaries, you will look much younger. Among gynecological diseases, the incidence of ovarian tumors is getting higher and higher. Once you have ovarian tumors, the possibility of cure is very small. Therefore, women must take preventive measures in their lives to protect their ovaries. Next, let’s find out what causes ovarian tumors?

The etiology of ovarian tumors is unclear, but environmental and endocrine influences are the most important factors in the pathogenesis of ovarian tumors.

According to its epidemiological and etiological investigations, its pathogenic factors and high-risk groups are:

1. Environmental factors: The incidence of ovarian tumors is high in industrially developed countries and among upper-class women, which may be related to high cholesterol in the diet. In addition, ionizing radiation, asbestos and talcum powder can affect oocytes and increase the chance of developing ovarian tumors. Smoking and deficiency of vitamins A, C and E may also be related to the onset of the disease.

2. Endocrine factors: Ovarian tumors mostly occur in nulliparous or infertile women. Pregnancy seems to have an antagonistic effect on ovarian cancer. It is believed that repeated damage to the ovarian epithelium caused by daily ovulation is related to the occurrence of ovarian cancer. In addition, breast cancer and endometrial cancer are often complicated by ovarian cancer, and all three diseases are dependent on this hormone.

3. Genetic and family factors: About 20-25% of ovarian cancer patients have cancer in their immediate family members.

Through the introduction of the China Cancer Rehabilitation Association, we can know that some of the triggering factors of ovarian tumors can still be controlled. People must pay more attention in normal times and try to avoid contact with some irritating substances. They should also pay more attention to the treatment of diseases such as irregular menstruation and dysmenorrhea and should not be ignored.
