Will women who have frequent dysmenorrhea become infertile?

Will women who have frequent dysmenorrhea become infertile?

It is very common for women to experience dysmenorrhea, but it is also a type of disease and belongs to irregular menstruation. Irregular menstruation has a direct impact on women's fertility problems. The same is true for dysmenorrhea. Long-term dysmenorrhea will inevitably lead to some problems for women in getting pregnant. Find out more about whether women who often have dysmenorrhea will become infertile?

Dysmenorrhea itself will not cause infertility, but the relationship between dysmenorrhea and infertility is very close. According to clinical observations, more than half of infertile patients suffer from dysmenorrhea of varying degrees. A large amount of clinical data shows that 56% of infertility cases are accompanied by dysmenorrhea, and it is found that once the dysmenorrhea is eliminated, the patient will become pregnant immediately. This shows that the relationship between dysmenorrhea and infertility is indeed very close. It also shows that the ancients' view that "regulating menstruation first and then pregnancy will come naturally" is correct.

There are many reasons for dysmenorrhea, which are mainly the reasons that lead to female infertility. Therefore, when you find dysmenorrhea, you should go to the hospital for examination or treatment in time. The main causes of dysmenorrhea are the following two points:

1. Secondary dysmenorrhea: more common in women after childbirth and middle-aged women, caused by pelvic inflammation, tumors or endometriosis. Endometriosis is a disease in which endometrial tissue grows outside the uterine cavity, such as in the myometrium, ovaries, or other parts of the pelvic cavity. It also experiences periodic changes and bleeding. During menstruation, the inability of blood to flow out causes pain, and due to adhesions with surrounding tissues and organs, dysmenorrhea gradually worsens. Internal examination may reveal an enlarged, hard uterus with poor mobility, or hard, irregular nodules or masses may be palpated in the rectouterine pouch, which are obviously tender.

2. Primary dysmenorrhea: The cause is not yet fully understood. Dysmenorrhea occurs shortly after menarche and is sometimes closely related to psychological factors. Dysmenorrhea may also be caused by spasmodic contractions of the uterine muscles, leading to uterine ischemia. It is common in cases of uterine hypoplasia, stenosis of the cervical opening or cervical canal, and excessive uterine curvature, which make it difficult for menstrual blood to flow out, causing menstrual blood retention, thereby stimulating uterine contraction and causing dysmenorrhea. In some cases, during menstruation, the endometrium falls off in flakes. Before the menstruation, the uterus contracts strongly, causing pain. The symptoms are relieved after the menstruation, which is called membranous dysmenorrhea. Primary dysmenorrhea can usually be relieved after childbirth.
