The harm of silicone breast augmentation turns out to be these three points

Silicone breast augmentation is a popular breast augmentation method in recent years. Many female friends who love beauty have considered using this method to achieve the effect of fuller breasts, but most people give up because they don’t know what harm silicone breast augmentation has on the human body. In fact, there are three kinds of harms of silicone breast augmentation to the human body. Let’s take a closer look!

1. Infection

With any surgery, infection can occur, but the chances of infection are greater with breast augmentation. Once breast implants are inside, they will lose their sterility and can eventually grow mold, fungus, and other harmful bacteria. Symptoms of infection include swollen lymph nodes, fever, rash, and a general feeling of fatigue. The infected area may also swell and appear red.

Silicone breast implants may interfere with mammographic examinations because the silicone implant creates a barrier that X-rays cannot penetrate. This makes it difficult to diagnose the cancer behind the implant and any growth within the breast tissue. Implants can also rupture and burst from the pressure, which is managed during a breast exam.

2. Capsular contracture

A capsular contracture is a complication of scar tissue in the breast. All women who receive breast implants have this internal scar tissue that tightens around the implant, which can become painful and will require surgery to repair it.

This occurs with both silicone and saline implants. Symptoms of a capsular contracture include pain in the breasts and breast misshapen, or they may feel hard and round. The condition does not heal itself more often than not, and it will happen again even after surgery to fix it.

3. Rupture

The outer coating of the envelope, even when made of silicone material in saline implants, can rupture if the breast experiences trauma. Accidental cuts during breast augmentation surgery, trauma that can be caused by the rough play of day-to-day life, or the wear and tear of implants as they age. This can cause the implant in either breast to deflate and cause the breast to sag or appear misshapen. If the silicone leaks into your breast tissue, it can spread to other parts of the body and it can become impossible to retrieve. It can also cause you to have a mastectomy with silicone that damages breast tissue. A ruptured implant should be removed immediately as it can lead to extreme pain, swelling, rash and infection.
