What are the must-check items for women during pre-pregnancy check-up?

There are many types of pre-pregnancy check-ups for women, so if we want to have a healthy baby, we should actively do these tests, such as endocrine function tests, routine urine tests, and routine leucorrhea tests, which cannot be ignored.

1. Endocrine function examination:

It can help detect ovarian diseases such as irregular menstruation in women and provide timely treatment, otherwise it will affect the health of the baby.

2. Urinalysis:

It helps in early diagnosis of kidney disease. Ten months of pregnancy puts a greater strain on the kidneys. If there is kidney disease, the consequences can be very serious.

3. Routine fecal examination:

Find out whether there are digestive system diseases, parasitic infections, etc. For example, if toxoplasmosis infection is not detected early, it can cause serious consequences such as miscarriage and fetal malformation.

4. Routine examination of leucorrhea:

Women can be checked for Trichomonas, fungal, or bacterial infections. If you have a sexually transmitted disease, it is best to get thorough treatment before getting pregnant, otherwise it may cause risks such as miscarriage, premature birth, and premature rupture of membranes. It is a very important item in the inspection.

5. Precautions for women’s pre-pregnancy check-up

1. Women should not drink alcohol the day before the physical examination, and should limit the intake of high-fat and high-protein foods, and avoid the use of preparations and particles that may affect liver and kidney function.

2. 3 to 5 days before the examination, you should eat a light diet and it is best not to eat bloody foods such as pig liver and pig blood. Please fast completely after midnight the night before the examination.

3. If you have a blood test or B-ultrasound examination of the liver and gallbladder, you must be on an empty stomach. If you are doing B-ultrasound of the bladder, prostate, uterus, or appendages, avoid urinating. If you cannot urinate, drink water until your bladder is full.

4. When undergoing X-ray examination, it is recommended to wear cotton underwear, and avoid wearing clothes or bras with metal buttons. Please remove necklaces, mobile phones, pens, keys and other metal objects. Pregnant women or women who may be pregnant should inform the health checkup service personnel in advance and be cautious when undergoing X-ray examinations.
