What are women's contraceptive methods?

Contraception is very important for women. After marriage, women will choose to use contraception because they do not want children. However, try not to use long-term contraceptive methods after marriage, especially long-term contraceptives. However, different contraceptive methods have different effects on the body. In particular, regular use of contraceptives can cause endocrine disorders in women. So what are the methods of contraception for women?

For couples who want to have children and require a longer period of contraception, it is best for the woman to have an IUD placed. If the patient is not suitable for IUD insertion due to excessive menstrual flow, oral contraceptives or other contraceptive methods can be used alternately.

For women with heavy menstrual flow, it is best not to use condoms or diaphragms. If an intrauterine device is placed, it is best to choose an active intrauterine device with progesterone or other drugs to reduce bleeding. You can choose Type II contraceptive pills, which can achieve contraceptive effects and reduce menstrual flow.

Women with scanty menstruation or frequent amenorrhea should not take birth control pills to avoid long-term amenorrhea. It is best to have a vasectomy. Women with irregular menstrual cycles can use short-acting oral contraceptives to regularize their menstrual cycles.

If you do not want to get pregnant within two or three years, you must adopt a reliable contraceptive method. You can take low-dose oral short-acting contraceptives and stop taking them six months before the planned pregnancy. This will not affect the fetus. You can also temporarily use condoms during this period.

If women have sex after giving birth, they should also pay attention to contraception. They should also pay attention to some matters when taking contraceptives during breastfeeding, especially not taking contraceptives. Studies have found that the use of contraceptives during breastfeeding will affect the secretion of milk, so you can choose condoms for contraception when having sex at this time. Generally, an IUD can be added about three months after delivery.
