How long does it take for the dominant follicle to ovulate?

Many couples hope to have the fruit of their love, but no matter how hard they try, they all end up in failure. The key reason is the problem of the egg cells. So, will ovulation occur when there are mature follicles? What are the symptoms of ovulation?

Will ovulation occur when there are mature follicles?

Some mature follicles may not be discharged, and some may luteinize, so ovulation needs to be monitored. The egg grows and develops under the action of growth hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH). Within 24 hours before PL, LH will reach a peak, and it will definitely occur. Therefore, we use PL test paper to test this peak period. When the color of the second line of the test paper is close to, the same as, or exceeds the color of the first line, it means that PL is expected within 24 hours. Very visual, clear, and with plenty of time to prepare.

It should be noted that the appearance of two lines (i.e. positive) does not necessarily mean ovulation. There are also weak positive and strong positive. Only when there is a strong positive (i.e. the two lines are similarly dark or the test line is darker than the comparison line) does it indicate ovulation within 24-48 hours.

Therefore, if a strong positive result occurs, test twice or more per day. If the color starts to fade, then the last measurement was the peak.

Ovulation symptoms

1. Reduced appetite: Studies have shown that women eat the least during ovulation. Experts believe that this is the result of human's natural instinct that has been preserved to this day - female insects during ovulation will focus more on finding a male partner for mating rather than finding food.

2. Energetic: This is also a natural instinct inherited from human genes. In order to successfully attract the opposite sex, women in the ovulation period will become energetic and love to express themselves.

3. Increased sexual desire: Generally speaking, women’s sexual desire will be very strong during ovulation, which is the maximum reflection of the body’s data signal that women want to get pregnant.

4. Decreased immunity: During ovulation, women's vaginal mucus becomes thinner, which allows sperm to pass more easily and increase the chances of successful pregnancy. At the same time, women's nasal mucus also decreases, which increases the chance of bacteria invading the human respiratory system.

5. Anal prolapse or pain in one side of the lower abdomen: When a perfect egg is discharged from the surface of the ovary, it will break through the follicle that encapsulates the surface of the egg. A small amount of fluid in the follicle will flow into the lowest part of the pelvis. Women will feel a slight prolapse at the anus and slight pain in one side of the lower abdomen.

6. Increased female secretions: Before ovulation, female secretions are small, thick and opaque; as ovulation approaches, female secretions gradually increase and are thinner milky white; during ovulation, the amount of secretions increases significantly and is watery, transparent and clear. Women will feel that their vulva is moist and slippery, and there are egg white-like strips of mucus when wiping with toilet paper. This type of increase in female secretions usually lasts for 2-3 days, which is the time when women are most likely to become pregnant.

7. Ovulation bleeding and fever: The uterus and ovaries are responsible for the secretion of female endocrine hormones. Therefore, due to the fluctuation of estrogen secretion in the body before and after ovulation, a small amount of abnormal uterine bleeding may occur, which is called ovulation bleeding. After ovulation, due to the secretion of estrogen, the body temperature rises slightly after ovulation. If you can adhere to the ovulation body temperature every morning, you can find out your ovulation time according to the changes in body temperature.
