How long after giving birth can I walk?

Childbirth is a very important event in a woman's life and also a very happy experience. Recovery after childbirth is also an extremely critical stage in a woman's life. The traditional Chinese confinement period requires women to stay out of the wind and cool for a month to recover as quickly as possible, and also requires women to avoid strenuous activities as much as possible. So the question is, how long after giving birth can you get out of bed and walk around?

First of all, after giving birth, your reproductive organs, such as the cervix and vulva, become soft, congested, and edematous, and wounds and peeling appear on the surface of the endometrium. Under normal delivery conditions, it takes more than ten days for the vulva to recover, about forty-two days for the uterus to recover, and about 56 days for the endometrium to recover.

Secondly, during the ten months of pregnancy, the baby lives in your womb, which adds a burden to your heart. As the baby gradually rises against your diaphragm, your heart shifts, the burden on your lungs increases, the nasal, pharyngeal, and tracheal mucosa may become congested and edematous, the burden on your kidneys increases, and the endocrine system, joints, etc. will undergo corresponding changes. The recovery of these organ functions depends on the care during the confinement period.

Finally, during the delivery process, the baby causes you a certain degree of damage. The tremendous pain and energy consumed during childbirth will make you physically weak and reduce your resistance, which requires postpartum rest to recover.

If it is a natural delivery, you can get out of bed and move around within 12 hours. You can do some activities indoors within 2 days of delivery, as long as you are not tired.

Through my description, I believe that all women have understood how long it takes to get out of bed and walk after giving birth. Be patient. The damage caused during the childbirth process cannot be easily recovered overnight. Take care of yourself patiently, reduce strenuous exercise, and exercise and eat in the best way and time within the scientific range.
