Treatment for uterine cold is a treatment measure taken by traditional Chinese medicine for diseases caused by cold air in the uterus of female patients, such as dysmenorrhea, late menstruation, infertility, etc.

Gonghan, as the name suggests, means cold uterus. All diseases originate from coldness. Uterine coldness accounts for more than half of gynecological diseases and gynecological infertility. The typical symptoms are mainly as follows:

1. Weight gain. Another symptom of uterine cold is weight gain all over the body, accompanied by symptoms such as shortness of breath, fatigue, insomnia, scanty menstruation, and anovulation. The uterus lacks heat. In order to maintain its own physiological functions, fat acts as a "protector of the uterus". The colder the uterus, the more the body needs to store fat, which causes weight gain.

2. Abnormal menstruation, with a feeling of heaviness and distension in the lower abdomen before menstruation, increased vaginal discharge, lower back pain or pain, and breast swelling and pain. A few women experience nausea and vomiting. During menstruation, there is abdominal pain, a cold lower abdomen, and dark menstrual blood with blood clots. Some women experience dysmenorrhea to an unbearable degree.

3. Lower abdomen is cold and sometimes painful, menstruation is sometimes delayed, color is light and amount is small, spirit is poor, waist and legs are usually sore, urination is frequent, menstrual amount is small, libido is decreased, tongue is pale with white coating, and pulse is deep. If the true yang is insufficient, the waist will feel sore as if it is broken, the face will be dull, the lower abdomen and limbs will feel cold, and the feet will be cold and weak. The mouth will have a tasteless taste. The patient likes spicy and dry food, has slightly delayed menstruation, leucorrhea, frequent urination or incontinence, a pale tongue, a greasy and slippery white tongue coating, and a deep and weak pulse.

What is better for patients with uterine cold to eat in daily life?

1. Avoid eating raw, cold and some cold foods, such as cabbage, white radish, cabbage, yellow teeth, green tea, etc.

2. Eat more black foods: Black enters the kidneys and is especially good for the body, such as black rice, black fungus, black dates, etc.

3. Eat more hot foods: Ginger, chocolate, brown sugar, dates, water chestnuts, longans, and lychees are all cold-dispelling and warming foods, and eating them often is good for your body.

In addition, if you occasionally catch a cold, such as being caught in the rain or going out with wet hair, you must remedy the situation afterwards by making yourself a bowl of cold-dispelling soup. Use 2 tablespoons of brown sugar and 7 slices of ginger, boil them in water for 10 minutes. Drinking it 1 to 2 times can drive away the cold.

Although only the types of edible foods are listed, you should not rely solely on the effects of food. Many other problems in the body can also be treated with some assistance. Regardless of whether there are problems in this area or not, women need to be more meticulous in life and be better to their stomachs and bodies. You can cook some motherwort soup to drink before and after menstruation.
