Once the endocrine system is disturbed, the normal development of follicles in the ovaries will be inhibited, and a mature dominant follicle cannot be selected, making ovulation and conception impossible. The follicles that cannot develop normally remain in the ovaries, causing the ovaries to become hard and enlarged, which directly affects women's menstruation and fertility, and various changes in the body occur as a result. This is medically known as "polycystic ovary syndrome."

Polycystic ovary syndrome, the main clinical manifestations are: menstrual disorders, amenorrhea, anovulation, hirsutism, obesity, infertility and bilateral ovarian enlargement with cystic changes. If polycystic ovary syndrome is not treated actively, it will lead to a series of adverse consequences. For young patients with polycystic ovary syndrome, the biggest threat is infertility.

In addition, long-term chronic elevation of androgen levels can lead to a series of metabolic abnormalities. For example, blood lipid metabolism will be affected, causing female patients to have cardiovascular problems at a very young age; sugar metabolism will also become abnormal, leading to insulin resistance and inducing diabetes. Because the patient's progesterone level is very low, the endometrium cannot be shed normally, and it may also induce endometrial cancer.

When we discover that we have such a disease, it is best for us to maintain an optimistic attitude. Some women will recover quickly if they have a good attitude during the illness. However, if they smoke, drink, or even stay up late frequently to harm their bodies during the illness, the condition will become more and more serious.
