Factors that increase the risk of uterine fibroids include: use of estrogen during pregnancy, early age of menarche, nulliparity, late marriage and childbearing, obesity, African descent, tamoxifen, etc. Factors that reduce the risk of uterine fibroids include: exercise, multiple births, menopause, and birth control pills.
