Causes of small bumps on the vulva

Nowadays, many people, including female friends, have pimples on their faces and bodies. This is often very distressing, because in this era where people pay more attention to external beauty, this has a considerable impact on people's image, so they will think of many ways including internal and external application to eliminate it. But there is one place that doesn't need to be solved in this way, that is, there are small bumps on the vulva. Due to the special location of this part, it cannot be treated casually. Today, let's talk about the causes of small bumps on the vulva.

Common causes 1. Genital herpes

Genital herpes is a sexually transmitted disease caused by a virus. It often occurs in the labia, mons pubis, clitoris, perianal area or vagina in women. 90% of patients may also have the cervix invaded at the same time, with increased vaginal discharge or lower abdominal pain. The affected area first has a burning sensation, and soon 3 to 10 small red bumps in groups appear on the basis of the erythema, accompanied by itching. After 3 to 5 days, they break open to form large areas of erosion and ulcers, causing subjective pain.

Common causes 2. Vulvar inflammation

The typical symptoms of vulvar inflammation are vulvar itching and burning pain, which worsen before and after sexual intercourse and menstruation. In the acute phase, the vulvar skin is red, swollen and congested. Long-term chronic inflammatory stimulation can also cause cracking and lichenification of the vulvar skin, erosion-like and/or the appearance of patches of eczema and small bumps.

Common cause 3: Vestibular gland cyst

Bartholin's gland cyst refers to a retention, inflammatory cyst formed by obstruction of the Bartholin's gland duct opening and continuous secretion of the gland. Patients may find small, crescent-shaped, oval or round bumps on the lower back of the labia and between the frenulum of the labia. These bumps are not painful to touch and are mostly solitary. When secondary infection occurs, local redness, swelling and pain are obvious.

After talking about the causes of small bumps on the vulva, female friends will know what is wrong with them, so that they can better prescribe the right medicine. Of course, mild cases can be solved by themselves, but once the disease progresses, they must go to a regular hospital to seek help from a doctor.
