Can I swim right after my period?

Menstruation is also figuratively called "Aunt Flo" or "Good Friend" by women. Female friends are particularly concerned about it, because the menstrual period affects many parts of women, and everyone is looking forward to the timely arrival of this old friend. Women's menstruation has a cycle, which usually ends in five or seven days. In the hot summer, many women go swimming right after their menstruation ends. Is this correct? Today I will tell you whether this is right or wrong? Is it possible to do this?

Menstruation is regulated by the interaction between reproductive hormones from the hypothalamus, pituitary gland and ovary. During the menstrual period and proliferation period of the menstrual cycle, the levels of estradiol and progesterone in the blood are very low, thereby weakening or eliminating the negative feedback effect on the pituitary gland and hypothalamus, leading to increased secretion of gonadotropin-releasing hormone by the hypothalamus, which in turn leads to increased secretion of follicle-stimulating hormone and luteinizing hormone by the pituitary gland, thereby causing follicle development and a gradual increase in estrogen secretion. At this time, estrogen stimulates the endometrium to enter the proliferative phase. Luteinizing hormone increases the secretion of progesterone, leading to ovulation. During this period, both estrogen and progesterone levels increase. This produces a negative feedback inhibitory effect on the hypothalamus and pituitary gland, thereby reducing the levels of ovulation-stimulating hormone and luteinizing hormone, leading to corpus luteum degeneration, and then reducing estrogen and progesterone levels. The endometrium loses the support of these two hormones and begins to shed and bleed, which is when menstruation occurs. At this time, the decrease in estrogen and progesterone begins the next menstrual cycle.

If your menstruation has completely ended, you can go swimming normally. However, if you are still menstruating and your menstruation has not completely ended, it is not suitable because it increases the chance of gynecological inflammation and may delay your menstruation. One day after your period ends, as long as there is no shed bleeding from the endometrium, you can swim. But it is better to go swimming 3 days after your period is over.

It is best to swim 3 days after your period. Strengthen self-protection when swimming. Even if you do not have gynecological inflammation or are not menstruating, you should always pay attention when swimming and strengthen your awareness of self-health protection.

The editor has introduced so much to you, I believe everyone is clear about whether you can go swimming after the menstrual period is over. On the first day after the end of the menstrual period, if you can be sure that it is over, you can go swimming. However, unless there are special circumstances, it is best to wait three days after the menstrual period to go swimming. Generally speaking, this way, the cervical opening will be basically completely closed, and bacteria will not infect the female internal reproductive organs.
