After gently drying, place 250,000 units of nystatin suppository deep in the vagina, or apply nystatin cream on the vaginal wall, once a night or once in the morning and evening for a total of 10 to 14 days. When using the medicine, first pour the powder into a wooden basin, then pour in an appropriate amount of boiling water, and steam it while it is hot so that the medicinal power can penetrate directly into the vagina. 3. Nonspecific vaginitis: The preferred drug is metronidazole, 500 mg orally, twice a day, for 7 days. It can also be applied topically, 200 mg each time, inserted into the vagina, with 7 days as a course of treatment. Clindamycin 300 mg, orally, twice a day for 7 days; or 2% clindamycin ointment, vaginally, once a night for 7 days.
