What should pregnant women do if they wake up with back pain?

There are often some pregnant women, especially those in the late stages of pregnancy, who should be refreshed after a night's sleep, but instead feel back pain, which makes them feel better than not sleeping. In fact, pregnant women will experience body aches after waking up, which is related to their sleeping posture, especially when the fetus grows bigger. If they can change their sleeping posture, this situation will be greatly alleviated.

Sleeping position in early pregnancy can be arbitrary. In the early stages of pregnancy, pregnant women can sleep in a relatively casual position because the fetus is not greatly affected by direct external pressure and its own weight will not cause significant pressure. Of course, there are limits to randomness. It is better to change bad sleeping positions such as sleeping on your stomach as soon as possible. You can choose to sleep on your back or side, which are more comfortable.

Supine lying is not advisable in late pregnancy. In the later stages of pregnancy, the importance of sleeping posture has become apparent, which is directly related to the safety of mother and baby. If you can lie on your left side, you can greatly reduce the occurrence of insufficient blood supply and other health problems caused by compression. So what about lying on your back, which is a favorite position of many pregnant women? In fact, lying on your back frequently can lead to insufficient blood supply to the uterus, poor nutrient absorption by the fetus, and obstructed maternal metabolism, which can be life-threatening in severe cases.

There is scientific reason to sleep on your left side the entire time. Sleeping on your side can be the best or worst sleeping position for pregnancy, of course it depends on which side you choose. As the fetus continues to grow, the uterus continues to squeeze the other organs and rotate to the right. If you sleep on your left side, you can correct the right rotation of the uterus, promote blood circulation, and reduce the possibility of fetal hypoxia. On the contrary, if you choose to sleep on your right side, the problem may be exacerbated.

It is said that the greatest person is the mother, and this can be seen in the sleeping position chosen by pregnant women. Generally, we sleep on the right side, which is good for the heart. However, in the later stages of pregnancy, we should sleep on the left side. This is very beneficial for the fetus and can reduce the possibility of fetal hypoxia. Of course, pregnant women will also be more comfortable in this sleeping position.
