Vaginitis is the most common gynecological disease that troubles women. Improper sexual intercourse can also cause inflammation of the vulva. There are many clinical symptoms of vaginitis. If you find anything abnormal, you should go to the hospital for treatment to avoid the condition from worsening and making treatment more difficult. Let’s learn about the symptoms of chronic vaginitis with the editor.

1. Itching and burning pain in the vulva. In severe cases, the patient may feel restless and extremely painful. It may also be accompanied by frequent urination and painful urination. Some patients experience increased vaginal discharge, which is white and thick, resembling curd or tofu dregs. When a pregnant woman suffers from vaginitis, not only will she suffer pain, but the fetus in her womb will also be affected by the disease.

2. Vaginal bacteria are dominant in the vagina, and there are also a small amount of anaerobic bacteria, mycoplasma and Candida. These bacteria form a normal ecological balance. However, due to changes in hormone levels during pregnancy, the acidity and alkalinity of the vagina are likely to change accordingly. When the ecological balance of the vagina is disrupted, these resident bacteria will become pathogenic bacteria, break through the vaginal barrier and cause infection.

3. After a woman becomes pregnant, her sex hormone levels are high, and the vagina becomes congested, secretions become abundant, and the vulva becomes moist, creating an environment that is very conducive to the growth of mold.

4. The treatment of vaginitis in pregnant women is mainly based on local medication. External medications are selected according to the different types of vaginitis, such as nystatin suppositories, Canesten suppositories, and Baofukang suppositories. Pregnant women must treat vaginitis thoroughly and must not stop taking the medication as soon as the symptoms are alleviated.

Chronic vaginitis is more difficult to treat than acute vaginitis, and the treatment time is also longer. However, no matter how long the treatment lasts, patients must maintain a good attitude and face it positively and optimistically during the treatment.

Regardless of the type of vaginitis, the treatment process is long and tedious. During the treatment, more attention should be paid to personal hygiene. Only by maintaining a good sanitary environment can the treatment process of vaginitis be healthy and effective. A good attitude has a positive effect on the treatment of any disease, so remember to always maintain a good mood.
