Is it harmful to perm your hair during pregnancy?

During pregnancy, mothers should not only pay attention to their diet and rest. Many mothers always feel very irritable and bored because they have nothing to do after pregnancy. At this time, they will look at the computer or watch TV. However, the radiation from these often has a great impact on their bodies. There are even expectant mothers who love beauty and often dye their hair. So is it good for the body to dye your hair during pregnancy?

It is not suitable for expectant mothers to perm or dye their hair in the early stage of pregnancy (first 3 months) or the middle and late stages of pregnancy. The early pregnancy period is the most critical stage for the development of fetal organs. Improper protection or use of harmful substances during this period may cause fetal malformations.

At present, all perming is chemical perming, which requires the use of "cold perm lotion" to curl and shape the hair. Hair dye is also composed of relatively complex chemical components.

Although there is no direct evidence showing that perming or dyeing hair will cause harm to the fetus, to be on the safe side, expectant mothers should not perm or dye their hair in the early stages of pregnancy.

Tips: Hair perming and dyeing can be done during the second trimester of pregnancy. Only the middle and tail sections of the hair should be processed, and appropriate highlights should be performed to reduce the scalp's absorption of perm and dye.

In the later stages of pregnancy, hair is more fragile and will begin to fall out more after delivery. Perming will only aggravate hair loss.

To prevent allergies, expectant mothers are advised to apply a little perm or dye on the inside of their arms before perming or dyeing their hair, wait for a while, and then use it again when there are no adverse reactions.

Expectant mothers who have never permed or dyed their hair before should not try perming or dyeing their hair during pregnancy.

In the above article, we learned about perming your hair during pregnancy. First of all, you need to add a substance when perming your hair, so that the substance will be transplanted from your scalp to your brain. It is okay to perm your hair when you are not pregnant, but you should be cautious when perming your hair after pregnancy.
