Color Doppler ultrasound examination of the fetus during pregnancy

Color Doppler ultrasound examination of the fetus during pregnancy

When you are pregnant, both the father and the mother are most concerned about the gender of the fetus. So, can the color Doppler ultrasound of the fetus at three months of pregnancy tell the gender of the fetus? I believe this is a question that all expectant fathers and mothers have asked the doctor when they did the four-dimensional color Doppler ultrasound for the first time. Can the gender of the fetus be checked at three months of pregnancy? Let us learn together and hope that everyone can understand it.

1. Time to check the gender of the fetus

When it comes to checking the gender of the fetus, most people now believe in scientific methods. B-ultrasound testing of the fetus's gender is currently the most common scientific testing method. So can we tell the gender of the fetus from the four-dimensional color ultrasound at three months of pregnancy? In fact, it is difficult to tell the gender of the fetus clearly if you check it too early. Generally, three months of pregnancy is a bit early, and 4-5 months is the best time.

2. Color Doppler Ultrasound Examination

Four-dimensional color ultrasound is the most advanced color ultrasound equipment in the world. It can observe the growth and development of the fetus in the uterus from multiple directions and angles, providing an accurate scientific basis for the early diagnosis of congenital surface malformations and congenital heart disease of the fetus. It breaks through the limitations of traditional B-ultrasound and can provide applications in many fields including abdomen, blood vessels, small organs, obstetrics, gynecology, neonatology, etc. The application of four-dimensional color ultrasound provides doctors with richer information for diagnosis, especially in obstetrics. Real-time four-dimensional examination of the fetus can not only see the overall picture of the fetus in the middle and late stages of pregnancy in three dimensions, but also directly detect the fetus's limbs and internal organs. It can also clearly display the fetus's real-time dynamics, moving images, and the baby's various expressions in the mother's belly; it can also display the development of the fetus's organs in three dimensions to detect some congenital malformations as early as possible.

3. The law prohibits checking the sex of the fetus

Many people have questioned whether taking photos of the fetus using four-dimensional color ultrasound will reveal the gender of the fetus. On January 1, 2003, the National Family Planning Commission, the Ministry of Health and the State Food and Drug Administration jointly issued regulations prohibiting artificial termination of pregnancy for non-medical reasons based on fetal sex identification and sex selection. Article 3 stipulates: Artificial termination of pregnancy for non-medical reasons based on fetal sex identification is prohibited. Without the approval of the health administrative department and the family planning administrative department, no organization or individual may carry out fetal sex identification and artificial termination of pregnancy, except as otherwise provided by laws and regulations.

IV. Precautions

Ultrasound has no effect on the fetus or mother, and does not produce any radiation. For example, X-rays have radiation, so avoid contact with them. Televisions and computers also have some radiation. There is nothing wrong with ultrasound, but the number of examinations should not be too many. Also, you should maintain a good mood and have regular examinations. The gynecologist will tell you what examinations to do and when. If you feel uncomfortable, seek medical attention in time. Learning some health care knowledge will be helpful for you to take care of your children now and in the future.

It can be seen from this that the gender of a fetus in three months of pregnancy can be determined through color ultrasound. However, because our country’s laws strictly prohibit checking the gender of the fetus, even if the doctor knows it, he will not tell you. Relax, it doesn’t matter whether it is a boy or a girl, after all, they are your own children, not to mention that men and women are equal in modern society, so just look forward to the arrival of your baby with peace of mind.
