What is endometrial type B?

Everyone is familiar with the uterus. You know that the biggest function of this organ is to nurture the baby well. Also, because everyone's physical constitution is different, the type of endometrium is also different. At the same time, the endometrium is divided into three types, one of which is endometrium type B, which is not well known to everyone. Below is an explanation of endometrial type B and the other two types. Let’s take a look together.

Endometrial type

The endometrial type is divided into three types according to the Gonen and Capser method:

Type A: The outer and central layers of the three-line sign are strong echo lines, and the area between the outer layer and the midline of the uterine cavity is a uniform low echo area.

Type B has uniform medium-intensity echoes, and the midline of the uterine cavity echo is intermittent and unclear.

Type C: homogeneous strong echo, without uterine midline loop.

There is no significant difference in pregnancy rate between type A and type B endometrium, but type C endometrium has a low pregnancy rate.

The endometrium is the layer that makes up the lining of the mammalian uterus. It responds to both estrogen and progesterone, and therefore can change significantly with the sexual cycle (estrus cycle, menstrual cycle).

The endometrium is divided into three layers: the compact layer, the spongy layer, and the basal layer. The dense layer and spongy layer of the 2/3 endometrial surface are collectively called the functional layer, which are shed periodically under the influence of ovarian sex hormones. The basal layer is the 1/3 of the endometrium close to the myometrium. It is not affected by ovarian hormones and does not undergo cyclical changes.

The endometrium is the layer that makes up the lining of the mammalian uterus. The endometrium responds to both estrogen and progesterone and can therefore change significantly during the sexual cycle (estrus, menstrual cycle). Estrogen can cause uterine hypertrophy, and progesterone can promote special changes in the endometrium in the early stages of pregnancy, or change the properties of the endometrium so that it has the ability to produce decidua. The endometrium is covered with mucosa, which is composed of the mucosal epithelium and the underlying lamina propria. The mucosal epithelium is columnar epithelium, cuboidal epithelium or stratified columnar epithelium. When estrogen is secreted, each epithelial cell will grow and divide to increase in number. The part of the lamina propria below the mucosal epithelium is called the functional layer, into which epithelial cells enter to form uterine glands and respond to estrogen. The lower layer of the functional layer is called the basal layer, which is rich in blood vessels.

People who don't know much about type B endometrium will definitely know something about it after reading the above, so I won't say that I didn't know. At the same time, we also introduce the other two types of endometrium, which have certain differences. There is no harm in understanding your own body. If you don’t understand, read the above content.
