What to do if you have vaginal itching and stinging?

Many girls wrote to us and told us that they don’t have boyfriends, but they still feel some tingling and itching down there. They often feel that after cleaning their genitals and putting on their underwear, some watery secretions will appear, and there will also be some odor. Many girls are very confused because they don’t know what to do. So let me tell you now, what should you do if you have vaginal itching?

Normal leucorrhea should be milky white or colorless and transparent, with a slightly fishy smell or no smell; its secretion amount and texture are affected by the levels of estrogen and progesterone in the body, and vary periodically with the menstrual cycle, with varying amounts, textures and thicknesses. To evaluate whether leucorrhea is normal, it is necessary to observe the quantity, color, texture and smell. If your vaginal discharge increases for no apparent reason, or is accompanied by changes in color, texture, or odor, you should be alert.

1. Symptoms of Trichomonas vaginitis: The vaginal discharge is foamy and pus-like, with a burning, itching sensation and an odor. Often, couples are infected at the same time, but the male has no symptoms. The protozoa are stored in the male's urethra, so after the female is cured, the disease returns as soon as she has sex, and the disease recurs repeatedly. The couple should be treated at the same time.

2. Symptoms of candidal vaginitis: vaginal discharge is like tofu dregs, external factors such as flushing and itching

3. Symptoms of bacterial vaginitis: large amount of leucorrhea with fishy odor. (Check the secretions, that is, check the leucorrhea, which is the simplest, or do a BV test to see if there are bacteria, and culture of mycoplasma and chlamydia are also necessary).

The main symptoms are vulvar discomfort and increased thin, foamy leucorrhea.

Treatment: Systemic metronidazole 200 mg, 3 times/day, 7 days as a course of treatment. For local medication, insert 200 mg of metronidazole into the vagina once every night for 10 days as a course of treatment, and rinse the vagina with 5% acetic acid at the same time.

After the above description, we basically have some understanding of the causes of vaginal itching. If you are still worried, you can go to the hospital to do a leucorrhea test and check it out, using B-ultrasound to confirm it, and then you can better treat it.
