The reason for sudden bloody vaginal discharge

The reason for sudden bloody vaginal discharge

Generally, we know that leucorrhea is white, odorless and sticky, but some people's leucorrhea may contain blood, and the cycle may be prolonged. More serious cases may lead to infertility, which has a great impact on our lives. The following are some reasons why leucorrhea contains blood. I hope that everyone can increase their understanding of leucorrhea with blood on this basis, which will be helpful to everyone.

1. Cervical polyps. Cervical polyps are a manifestation of chronic cervicitis. The main symptoms are yellow leucorrhea, leucorrhea with a bad odor, and leucorrhea with blood.

2. Acute vaginitis. The main symptoms are increased vaginal discharge, which is yellow watery or purulent, has a foul odor, and in severe cases, spot vaginal bleeding may occur;

3. Severe cervical erosion. The main symptoms are increased vaginal discharge, yellow color, sticky and smelly, accompanied by vulvar itching, bleeding during sexual intercourse, lumbar pain, dysmenorrhea, etc.

4. Senile vaginitis. Clinical manifestations: increased vaginal discharge, light yellow in color, and in severe cases, bloody and purulent vaginal discharge;

5. Cervical cancer. A small amount of bleeding or increased vaginal discharge after sexual intercourse;

6. Endometrial cancer. The clinical manifestations are irregular bleeding, with the amount of bleeding varying from time to time. Premenopausal women may have heavy menstrual flow and prolonged duration, while postmenopausal women may experience postmenopausal bleeding.

7. Ovulation bleeding: Mid-menstrual bleeding (leucorrhea with blood) refers to a small amount of bleeding between two normal menstrual periods, which may be accompanied by varying degrees of lower abdominal pain.

What needs to be noted here is that leucorrhea can be divided into two types: physiological leucorrhea and pathological leucorrhea with blood. If the bleeding occurs during the ovulation period, it is the so-called physiological leucorrhea with blood. Physiological leucorrhea with blood is very normal and we don’t have to worry about it. Other than this, pathological leucorrhea with blood is generally caused by gynecological diseases and requires attention.
