Commonly used acupoints for moxibustion in treating gynecological diseases

To treat gynecological diseases, you can use moxibustion on Zhongwan, Shenque, Guanyuan, Uterus, Guilai, Baliao, and Sanyinjiao. These acupoints can not only treat gynecological diseases, but also men's diseases. If you have diseases of the reproductive system and urinary system, you can treat it in this way. These acupoints can be moxibustioned separately, but if you are afraid of wasting time, you can also moxibustion them together. Be sure to follow the principle of gradual progress to avoid excessive moxibustion and getting inflamed.

The commonly used acupoints for moxibustion in treating gynecological diseases are Guanyuan, uterus, Guilai, Baliao and Sanyinjiao. These acupoints can cover the treatment of almost all gynecological diseases.

Method: You can use direct moxibustion, mild moxibustion, or moxibustion through ginger.

Tools: Guanyuan, uterus, and Guilai acupoints are all located in the abdomen and lower abdomen. You can use a three-eye moxibustion box to do mobile moxibustion for about 40 minutes a day at Sanyinjiao, and you can use a single-eye moxibustion box to moxibustion on both sides at the same time.

The uterus point is a special point and is not shown on general acupuncture point maps. You can apply moxibustion about three inches away from the Zhongji and Qugu points to the uterus point. Why do we need moxibustion here? The main reason is that the uterus is inside the lower abdomen, and treatment here can be directly targeted at the lesion, so moxibustion is mainly used to apply moxibustion to the lesion site, which is a simple and easy treatment method.

Moxibustion cycle: If it is for treatment, one cycle is 15 days, then stop for 3-5 days and continue for another 15 days, and repeat this cycle. This cycle also depends on the extent of your disease treatment. Some people see obvious therapeutic effects after more than ten days of treatment, while others do not see good results even after several months of treatment. If you can see the therapeutic effect quickly, then the next treatment can be moxibustion every other day, or 2-3 times a week.

The above is an introduction to the commonly used acupoints for moxibustion in treating gynecological diseases. The effects of moxibustion include dredging meridians and activating collaterals, promoting qi and blood circulation, removing dampness and cold, reducing swelling and dispersing nodules, etc. It achieves the effects of health preservation and disease prevention by replenishing the body's yang energy, dredging meridians, replenishing kidney yang, increasing ovarian function, and eliminating pathogenic factors. Moxibustion can greatly improve the function of the uterus and ovaries, and can even treat infertility.
