All female friends have menstruation every month. During the menstrual period, they may experience some uncomfortable conditions, such as stomach pain, commonly known as dysmenorrhea, or even a very high body temperature, similar to a fever. However, these are all normal phenomena. So what exactly causes high body temperature during menstruation? main reason: Menstruation is a well-known physiological phenomenon. During the menstrual cycle, a woman's body temperature fluctuates. It is often slightly lower in the first half of the menstrual cycle and slightly higher in the second half. In addition to ovulation, the ovaries also secrete hormones, mainly estrogen and progesterone. Before ovulation, the main process is the growth and maturation of the follicles, with the main secretion of estrogen. After ovulation, the follicle forms a corpus luteum, which can produce two hormones, namely estrogen and progesterone. Progesterone can stimulate the body temperature center and cause the body temperature to rise slightly. The body temperature of a normal woman can rise by 0.3-0.5 degrees Celsius after ovulation. People can measure changes in body temperature by checking their basal body temperature. The method is to measure your own temperature after waking up from a long sleep of more than 6-15 hours and before doing any activity. After getting up, record the measured temperature on a basal body temperature sheet, and do this every day to draw a curve. The normal curve is slightly lower before ovulation and lowest during ovulation; after ovulation, due to the thermogenic effect of progesterone, the body temperature is higher than that in the follicular phase. Therefore, the normal curve is biphasic. In an anovulatory menstrual cycle lacking progesterone, there is no regular change as mentioned above, and the body temperature is consistent and monophasic. The significance of body temperature changes: 1. Biphasic body temperature can be used as an important indicator of ovulation. The ovulation time is 2-3 days before the biphasic body temperature changes. Monophasic body temperature can confirm that there is no ovulation and corpus luteum formation. 2. If the high temperature phase of the biphasic body temperature (luteal phase) lasts for more than 16 days, conception is possible, which is a good sign for infertile patients undergoing treatment. For those with a history of habitual miscarriage, protective measures should be taken at this time. 3. It is generally believed that the high temperature period of the body temperature curve should not be less than 12 days, and the increase should not be lower than 0.3-0.5 degrees Celsius, otherwise it is luteal insufficiency. The above introduces the reasons for high body temperature during menstruation. Female friends can drink some tonic soups in normal times. After all, women are lacking blood, and blood tonic is very important and cannot be ignored. Don't let yourself catch cold during menstruation. |
